Had one of these at the elementary school I attended. Haven't seen one in decades. I'm sure there's a few around here and there.

We had some very wealthy neighbors that built a “mansion“ in the late 50’s. Their grandkids were my best friends so we were over at that house a lot. They had a massive bomb shelter built underground with massive cement walls. It was like a full functioning apartment down there. They ended up using it for overflow storage. It had some very cool things down there like old cash registers, things from the 1939 worlds fair, etc.. when they died, the place sat empty for years. Nobody had the money to purchase it and remodel it. It finally sold years later. I always wonder what the new owners did with the place.

Weird, I just watched them auction off a Munstermobile replica at Barrett Jackson on YouTube today, haven’t thought about those cars in decades
