I decided to keep the car a few months back, so I fixed a few minor issues with the car and decided to change the wheels. Could not make a decision, so i decided to just powder coat a pair of my originals and a pair of 10.5's with the M/T's back on.

Happy with the way it came out. I chose a gunmetal color and it actually almost matches the DSG color of the car. Its a very clean look and it looks better than in the pics. here are a couple of pics...

I love it, a little tire shine and she'll look perfect.

Yes... the tire shine. Been done since the picture was taken. They were just a couple of quick shots that I took.

I had 18 inch FR500's on for about a year or so....poliched lip. They looked great, but is certainly not a unique/diff look. Besides, I got tired of paying for 18 inch M/T's real quick. Also had anniversary reps (gray) on as well... just wanted a change.

Thx for the comments

Very nice. And different. The color goes really nice with your DSG paint.

Although I was looking for the colors to look good together, The degree of match to the paint was lucky. I almost went with a flat black, and although I like flat black wheels, I see that all too often.

There's another member here with DSG matched wheels. They look killer too.

Anybody make a powder coat that resembles a "hypercoated"?

I really like that color.
how much was it to get them powder coated? I have been wanting to find a pair and do the same! maybe a tad bit lighter but still..

My powdercoat guy is a friend and gives me a good deal... his walkin price is 90 a wheel for 17-18 inch wheels. That includes wheels that need minor work, correcting curb rash or whatever.... well worth it.

Its nice to find a set of ragged out wheels of your choice. Send them in and Save a bunch for a new look.

Thx for the comments as well
