I thought i would share this because i thought it was cool.
Every once in a while i wash and wax my everyday work truck and one of the guys that works with me went ahead and started waxing it without me. He had no clue what he was doing and got wax all over the rubber trim and decals of the truck.
One of the older guys i work with told me i could use peanut butter and all of that wax will come off and give the plastic a factory shine. And it worked! Here's some pictures below, its hard to tell but believe me it worked.

Cool. I'll have to experiment on the OEM fake carbon fiber decal thing on my wife's corolla bumper.

I'm willing to bet its the oil in the pb that gives brings it back to black.

Why not just buy some Forever Black on Amazon? It's a black dye and it works really well.
Plus you don't have to worry about dogs licking your trim.

Also prevents people with peanut allergies from touching your car...bonus.

One application lasts for years. I applied it to my faded fender flares on my F150 two years ago and it still looks great.

You're better off painting them with stuff called 306 like I did on mine. Very forgiving, very easy to respray, and will not fade.

Didn't know they made spray. If it's the same as the wipe on then avoid it because it's a waste of money. Stuff only lasts a few days.

Mr. Clean Magic eraser has worked amazing for me. I keep 2-3 of them in my detailing kit. Its not a cover up either, once you erase it, its gone for good.

Please stop.

They make real products for this.if you think this works, you're probably the same idiot washing his car with dish soap and rubbing turtle wax on it and calling it "detailing".

It's fading because you didn't take care of it in the first place and sticking peanut butter on it and calling it a day is repeating the same mistake.

Respray or replace it and use aa purpose built sealant a few times a year so it doesn't fade. Don't get lazy and use peanut butter.
