Host dude was cringe and felt super forced the whole thing.

Happy that the V8 and manual combo is still alive for however much longer.

But definitely makes me appreciate my 2020 GT500 styling and S550. IMO one of the most aggressive stances for any mustang.

My take, host and guests were cringe and awkward. Stangmode? Lmao @ whoever let that happen. Show felt like it had some woke in there as well.

Dark horse name and badge are retarded. You definitely can tell genz and millennials had 100% imput on that.

Manual and the 5.0 (480-500) thank you ford.

I’m mostly going to reserve my judgment until i see it in person, initial impressions are meh. I’ll leave it at that.

Overall, Ford made an ok effort and this is most likely the last reveal we will see with a V8/manual. Sad days a head. Was a good ride Ford.

He needed Nancy Pelosi up there as his hype man. Telling the audience “thats an applause line”

I'm glad I'm not a Ford Tech any longer and am retired. In my opinion Ford did okay with the design but the dependance on gadgets and options is over the top. There's alot going on with that car, not to mention how the hell long will it
take not only to order one but diagnosing weird problems that will pop up.

One more thing, price, I'm going out on a limb hear and bet this will be a 50 to 70 g car at the least depending on the model and options ordered.

That interior gets worse every time i look at it. The seats are ok at least. Maybe do a dash, steering wheel and door panel swap with an S550?

And front and rear end while youre at

I'm not sold on it yet. I need to see it in person to make a final judgement. But as of right now it's a big meh from me.

I do find it interesting about the split in opinion though. The younger guys I know (under 35 I'd say) are really into it. My 21yo son thinks it looks awesome. But then he's into JDM now so take it with a grain of salt. But it seems the 40+ crowd really isn't into it. I'm 44 BTW.

So the dash looks like a modernized fox; there’s even an option to switch the gauge cluster to that of the fox bodies. Weird easter egg for older mustang owners.

Bad pic of the interior comparison but other shots I saw they share a similar layout.
The parking brake is also supposed to let you “drift”.View attachment 1761675View attachment 1761676View attachment 1761677

My 21 year old son drives an '08 and thinks these S650's look terrible, inside and out.

He's a good lad.

I tried, but failed with mine. He went through two Mustangs before switching to the dark side. At least my daughter still loves her Mustang.

Why does Ford want people to spend more money to buy a higher horsepowered car, just to learn how to drive a manual transmission?

Ya, the numbers game, lower volume for 4 cylinders. How many 4 cylinders automatics are rentals/leases?
Must be 100%.

How many people that buy an entry model 4 cylinder auto, will move on to a V8 manual?

Isn't a big part of the fun for kids/entry level Mustang owners learning to drive a manual?

Ford's limiting manuals to V8's is simply an easy path of less resistance to their total demise.

Wasn't a fan at first yesterday but the more I see it the more I like it. My only gripe is the massive screen on the dash, it looks terrible.

Didn’t say a word.

Showed it to the wife.

“It looks like some other car… the one that Chevy makes.”

HA! There you go. Unsolicited first look opinion that goes right along with what many here have said. "Looks like a Camaro".

Couple thoughts from the cheap seats:

1. Oldest, continuous sports car brand in America...? Corvette??
Mustang = "sports car"? Semantics I guess, no biggie.

2. Exterior is fine. No big issues jumped out at me.

3. Interior designers should be fired tonight. The continued forced application of the stuck on iPad look is hideous. No problems w a screen, just figure out a way to integrate it IN TO THE INTERIOR. They look like an afterthought still. I know it's a big screen but there HAS to be a way to make it fit the car seamlessly.

4. The Dark Horse logo...wow. that is really really bad. Applaud the idea and effort to bring to market a new model....but that logo designer should be searching for a job along side the interior designers. Yikes.

5. 480 & targeted 500 horsepower V8 engines w a stick if you so choose...bravo!
I'll take an orange one without the iPad please. Do not care which transmission, I'll drive either!

Overall, honestly, much better than i expected to see. Again, just ramblings from a guy that's driven Mustangs since mid 1980’s
1. Oldest, continuous sports car brand in America...? Not the Corvette. There was a year (1983) that Chevy didn't produce a Corvette.

That's why Ford can say that the Mustang is the oldest continuous marque in America. The Mustang II saved the marque, was a huge sales success, despite the hate it gets.
