New Formed heat shield for JLT Ram Air Intakes

It took longer then expected, but we now have the vacuum formed ABS plastic shields ready to ship.

These are an exact copy of our popular Carbon Fiber heat shields, but in a black textured plastic.

They bolt to the apron panel and wrap around the filter to the frame rail.
Designed to fit all JLT RAI kits and may fit many others, but I can only confirm on the JLT kits.
I see lots of Cobras running no shield, I highly recommend running one to help keep IAT's down at idle and low speed.

How big can the filter be to fit in the shield?

Wont that hinder performance a little having the filter covered like that....my S&B is entirely too big for it either way

I think the idea of the heat shield is the protect the filter from intaking hot air. colder air = better performance...

my car on the e85 tune made 715 to the wheel and has the filter covered with a cf unit. seems to still work :thumbsup:

Would also keep the filter clean. The top of my filter gets so dirty

With most RAI the hood shuts almost snug with them to begin with so this shouldn't make a huge difference.
