You're the third person in the past 3 months who I've heard having issues with moser 9" rears. Not good. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly. This beast needs to make some passes already.

So 2nd center section from moser still wined, tuning not quite done, but I have it for a bit while we are waiting on Moser to figure out how to get this straight. Data logging driving it around, got some tip in stumbling, and slight shifting issues etc. Close, but not quite done.

The E-85 pump picture.

Right before my 10.6 pass...
IMG_20150322_095130.jpg

Second pass sunday was a 10.6 at 124, launching at 3400rpm, and the car not shifting 3-4 and coasting through the traps on low boost.

I'm going to say a successful first outing. Drove 55 miles to the track, lowered my air pressure to 18lbs, set the transbrake low at 3400rpm, Ran the 10.6, drove to a gas station and aired my tires back up, drove home another 55 miles picking lunch up through a drive thru. I really can't complain.

When does it go back to Dallas to get the rear sorted and final tuning done?

Well i wanted to keep the car for two weeks, but my wife kindly informed me 2 weekends from now is her birthday...

I might take it back up this weekend, but I wanted to keep it, so maybe 3 weeks? That would let me data log and Manny send some new files to try on the driving part. Think I found a good place not far from my house to do some test hits.

Manny and I are trying to also set aside a friday or saturday at a 1/4 track so he can tune for that.

Pretty sure it was a 1.5 60'. No doubt the car has more 60' in it.

The car did win it's first car show trophy this past Saturday(bored with nothing to do). I was honestly surprised as it was done by a outside "pro" car judging.

I may have missed it but what boost were you running on the 10.6? Car is coming along nicely!

^ badass FF, what category did you win? Looks like best engine bay maybe?

It was just the "ford" category. Bunch of cool old fords there, that I thought would have won for sure. The judging was based on points factor, not "cool" factor. The cleanness of wiring, fuel lines, etc. is what impressed the judges the most. They said the install looks almost as if it was factory built. What got first was a super clean and detailed 32 Ford.

I never intended to do "shows" with the car, I built it to drive and race. I just thought it was fun and very rewarding.

That 10.6 pass was on my lowest boost setting, 8psi or what not.

I am trying to arrange with HPP to get the car back up there, to put in the new Moser Gears and get more of my tuning worked out etc. I am datalogging and sending files back and fourth, but he really wants it for another week to really drive the car more and make changes on the spot.

Still messing with tuning, got most any other "bugs" fixed now....

These 1000rwhp+ numbers get thrown around a lot like it's nothing. Let me tell you folks it's no joke. 750rwhp setting car people with 500-600rwhp are amazed, astonished, giggle even. When I bump up to my 940ish setting, it starts getting quite over in the passanger seat. Full tilt, there is silence, not a word. I can look over and half the people are shaking. It's an experience/feeling everyone says their body has never felt. It takes them hours to comprehend what just happened, to which its all they talk about.

My car is stable, but even at full tilt it scares the shit out of me, and I've been driving 500-700rwhp cars since I was 14. Folks, if you ever decide to go big, don't think you are going out and running full tilt right off the bat.

With that said... I need more power!

I know this exact feeling.. It took a little while to get use to the added power and with the car turned up. After a spirited drive it can leave you in chills and for the passengers. They either are quiet looking for something to grab and brace them selfs.. It will have you in all n will take you hours to process what just took place in 9 seconds give it take!!

So RR was a blast, car still needs some tuning(got some good logs) and i screwed up some being my first roll race event. Around 130ish it would just nose over for a second or two, then go back full throttle and I still hit 162mph, one of the fastest of the weekend.
