I was hoping that you had found and issue up there. I'm considering getting one of the Mach guys to overnight me one:-D , 'cause I'm about to bust to get the issue in my hands!!! I hear ya about the road course, that would be a change for me, but it does sound fun! It was great to meet Kevin, his wife, the owner of MM, and all the Mach guys, everybody was super nice!! This was a heck of an experience and something I've always wanted to do but never thought I would get the chance. I am just proud to have been chosen and was fortunate enough to go. Like Kevin said, HOW ABOUT THOSE 60 FOOT TIMES WITH THE IRS BABY!!!!!!!

Thanks! I'm actually waiting to see if they have the 1/8 listed in the mag because we did'nt get timeslips up there, all we knew was our 60 ft time, 1/4, and mph. I would guess the 1/8th would have been somewhere in the 7.80 something range.

I had a 1.66 60 ft time and Kevin had a 1.66 60 ft time. I think our IRS cars actually hooked as good as the solid axle Machs from what I remeber. It might be a 7.90 something, maybe they will list it in the article. I know that the pass should have been in the 7's in the 1/8. I also made that pass with my Bogarts on the front, now the 50 something and 60 something pass was with my Cobra wheels on front. The Bogarts dropped me 60 pounds to the 3550 weight they have listed for me. My car weighed 3610 with the Cobra wheels and me. Take it easy.

They didn't list the 1/8 mile times in the article and my wife was only able to write down the 60', 1/4 et and 1/4 mph... so I am not sure what our 1/8s were.

Those 60's were on full weight with our cars (Jaime had skinnies on the front but that was it). We were definitely trying to nail the launches. One of the Machs had a rear seat delete, but I am not sure if it was the one with the fastest 60s or not.

If you matched the solid Mach's 60' times with your IRS you guys represented the New Edge really well. Too bad we couldn't go stock-to-stock...that would have been something. Considering the great launches it would have been real close. Good show!! Now if I can just get my hands on a copy of that rag.

Jamie,

NP Brother! Car ran good bro! Nice 60fts on that IRS!

I really wish I would had the time to go play. Army life could be merciless at times. You cant really plan anything around an specific time...specially with the SHORT NOTIFICATION that we got!!!!

Either way, great job and thanks to Double "O" for his outstanding work and coordiation in getting this done!

I feel your pain! For me was more of being TDY in Arizona and the shifting of dates for the completion.

Either way, may be some other time!

Next step we should do is a "New Edge" Cobra gathering! In a central location like ....."San Antonio, TX"!!! LOL!

Bring as many 99-01 Cobras into one location as we can! Do like a 3 day event like:

Day 0 (late afternoon)- Welcoming Reception Party
- could be done at several locations here in SA, Hooters, Fast Eddy, or even at Buzby Burgers which is a very cool hang out here in SA with a HUGE parking area.

Day 1 - New Edge Car Show
- Could do several categories like best of show, best of each NE color, etc. Burn out comp a must!
-Late afternoon, New Edge Cruise! Could coordinate for some Police escort I we have to. Cruise down town and near by areas in SA for example.
-Evenning - Post Car Show Party  again another massive party sponsored at some other local join!

Day 2 - New Edge Drag Day / "X-ing" for those who do that! @ SAR!
-Best ET NA
-Best ET PA
-Best MPH
-Best 60ft
-etc.
-Best what ever the "X-ing guys" do!
-Evening Party @ SAR

Day 3 - Mid Day Cruise to a "Fairwell BBQ" Party at "Rudy's BBQ"!

Hey sounds like a plan!!!

How about Next Year.........4th of JUL Weekend?

Should we start a new thread?
