Hard to imagine this not being offered as a crate engine.
Wonder what she’ll do with twins?
Tried it once, got divorced.
Regular cab, XL 4x4 with towing gears and some nitrous.... brother this thing will fly. Chevy lady boys laughing when Ford switched to aluminum bodies. Whos laughing now?
Im going to predict it: Chevy guys will accuse Ford of copying the LS. Which was essentially a copy of the Ford 351 Windsor.... so Ford making an updated big cube Windsor with DI/PI... Im in.
lol beat me to it. LS is copied SBF, and new BBF is "copied" LS...ergo its all Ford power all the time.
I wouldn't call this a BBF, more like a MBF.
we need a new 3/4ton chassis based excursion to drop this bad boy in. Hopefully my prayers will be answered..
Ford has been drowning in ecoboost koolaid for too long so i doubt this will ever make it to the f150 line up.
Unfortunatly, there doesn seem to be any plans for a new Excursion at this time. Believe me, I've been telling them they need one.
Well I know what is gonna replace my sierra now.
I've said it several times...replace the POS V6 in the Raptor with this beast, and my checkbook is open and ready.
any info on the physical dimensions of this engine?
I.E. will it fit in a foxbody under a stock hood??
Will a 6.2 fit in a Fox?
Is the hood optional?
ford had better do something because the hellcat TRX ram is coming to take the souls of the ecoboost raptors.
But what about your body? Is it ready?
I got rid of my 17 raptor to go back to a Roush 13. However this finds its way into a 20 or 21 raptor and hotdamn I am all over it
Perhaps I should start a petition?
Pound the table for us little guys there at Ford! @SID297
They want to know what the consumers want, well here it is. Finally building the engine we have been asking for and its not an option in their Halo Raptor? Would be one of the more idiotic "I know what you want more than you do" moves Ford could make.
