Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 at Virginia Tech with a glock 19 and a walter p22, yes a p22. The idea that this proposed law or law's will simply fix everything or anything is ridiculous.
Every shooting is national news, talked about 24/7 until the next one. Localize the news coverage, most school districts have their own independent police departments, why aren't there metal detectors at every school?
I know this is a blanket statement but you know this type of event most likely will be perpetrated by white males. They've grown up around guns, but not violence. Blacks on the other hand and i'm not speaking nationally just in the south, grow up around violence but not guns. One's actions and reactions come from what environment they were raised in. There's no fixing that.
The metal detector would simply change venue would it not?
Move from halls to parking lot and playground....kinda thing...in the case of dual shooters, one opens a emergency exit and lets other in.
I don't think metal detectors are answer, after all locks only keep an honest person out.
No thought on the rest of your post
