I just ordered a 2023 Genesis G70 3.3T. I'm psyched!

Pictures are coming, Brad. Give me some time to settle in after picking it up. LOL. Yesterday was a busy day. I ended up leaving the dealership late afternoon and then went out to dinner with my daughter and granddaughters.

I'll take the (promised) pics this afternoon and post them up.

P.S. - I love this car so much more than my (old) GV70. Even my wife loves it more, and I wasn't expecting that since she hated to see me sell it.

OK, OK brother! LOL. I got tied up this afternoon and.....dang, forgot! :ROFLMAO::eek::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::eek:

It's dark now, but I took a few photos with my iPhone. No flash in the interior. I'll get the car outside tomorrow (sunny day hopefully) and post more. For now......

They're not the greatest. The white car next to it on the left is my wife's 2021 Acura TLX.

Wow, that is a BEAUTIFUL car @CobraBob
Very nice!

Which white is that? I think they have 2 different whites and one matte white, IIRC?
Congrats and enjoy! She's a beauty!

Mine is Uyuni White, Tony, which is a pearl white. $500 extra. The other white is called Alta White. Straight white with no pearl or metallic. There is also a Verbier White Matte that is $1,500 extra.

Here are a few more pics I took this morning. Nothing fancy.

Those seats are nice. That car will really pop out in the light.
I almost got these black leather with red stitching quilted leather seats on my old 2019 G70, but went a tad conservative with medium gray quilted leather with contrasting light gray/white (?) stitching. They no longer offer the medium gray leather so I went with black.

Looks really good, Bob. I’m glad you’re happy with it. You could be a brand ambassador for Genesis.

I really like the calibration of this 8-speed auto over the GV70 SUV calibration. Shifts are crisp. It's not DCT crisp, but decent. The Brembo brakes on all four wheels are excellent. I find myself in Sport mode most of the time, although the normal Comfort mode is fine. Fuel mileage suffers a bit, but that's fine. I like how Sport mode adjusts the seat side bolsters to hug me a bit more. Sport mode provides a more sensitive throttle response, suspension setting a bit more firm, steering is more dynamic. The braking might be enhanced, too, but I'm not sure.

LOL Todd. I never thought I'd ever own a Genesis, let alone three in a row.

Looks really sharp. Not sure how I feel about that criss cross pattern on the seats and door panels. I like the wheels too.

I like the lack of a giant screen across the dash. Gauges (digital or analog) and a small center screen is how it should be.

So some of you might remember when I had a 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T sport sedan (Sport Preferred package). I liked it a lot but in late 2021 after test driving a 2022 Genesis GV70 (sport SUV), I decided to trade it in after getting an offer I couldn't refuse. I "thought" I wanted something more practical for year round driving. I've enjoyed the GV70, but I've really missed a sports sedan. So I visited my Genesis dealer on Saturday and found out that a 2023 Genesis G70 3.3T (Sport Preferred) in Uyuni White (pearl finish) was in transit and available. 3.3 liter turbo making 365hp. Pretty much identically equipped as my 2019 G70 with updated features, Brembo brakes, and black interior with red stitching. The exact color I wanted, and the exact features/packages that I wanted. I got a great trade-in offer (plus an additional $1,500 discount) and delivery is supposed to be around March 1. It usually takes 3-6 months to order a specific color/package. I was just fortunate that the color/package I wanted was in transit. My 2019 had the same seats but they were medium gray with light gray stitching. This one with the black seats/red stitching looks better with the white exterior. The infotainment system is updated, too, although it isn't the same as in my GV70. I would have preferred the one in my GV70 but this one will be fine. To say I'm excited about going back to a G70 3.3T is an understatement. I should never have sold my 2019, but at least I'm getting a new 2023. Styling wise, the front and rear are updated, as are the wheels. I'll post some actual photos of my car when I take delivery. I have to now talk to my buddy about getting it ceramic coated. He does fantastic detailing work.

This is a photo of an identical car as far as paint color and package. Same with the black interior.

Different paint color, but this shows the 19" wheels (different from my old 2019 G70) and Brembo brakes.

The quilted seats aren't for everyone, of course. I've liked it on my 2019 G70, too. One of the reasons why I like them (and the door panels) is the connection of the front grill and the lower front fascia to the interior. It's done even more-so on the GV70 SUV. The pattern ties to the center console material. I saw a video a year ago where the Genesis engineer/designer explained how the exterior components and interior components tie together in design. Totally understand why some would maybe prefer a smooth leather or similar.

Thanks Tony.

LOL. Yep, same motor. Post an exterior photo of your Stinger GT2. (y)

I do miss the screen I had on my GV70. It was around 4" wider, be the same height I believe. I'm already used to this one though, and it's fine. Sometimes the bigger/wider the screen the more digital stuff they pack in. So for that reason, I guess I really prefer this one.

Beautiful car. Congrats.
Thanks my friend. I know I'll keep this one for awhile longer than the GV70. And I'll enjoy driving it more.

She's a looker!!!

Very nice, congrats.
Thank you, kind sir!!! :)

Looks fantastic. Genesis is knocking it out of the park with their current line up. They remind me of what Lexus did in the 90s. I'm seriously considering the G70 for my next daily driver. The base model 3.3T RWD at 45K is a screaming bargain.

It is a screaming bargain, like you said, Eddie. Even the base model 2.0 RWD at $39,400 is a bargain, for those who would be satisfied with the reduction of power (252 vs. 365).
