Seeing this post made me order the overlay, its a great write up.. one concern, I assum \e the overlay is a sticker.. any tips for lining it up and keeping the bubbles away?

Yes. The instructions explain how to do the install so it lines up properly. I have yet to run into any bubble problems either. I've installed quite a few over the years. Mine has been on for 7+ years now and still looks as good as the day I installed it.
I will be removing my original Overlay soon and installing the High Boost overlay which reads over 20#s. Probably a winter upgrade as we have limited driving weather left this year in Michigan.
If you have any other concerns please feel free to ask me. I'm happy to help. Also thanks again to Kevin for the awesome pics and install tips.

I noticed you went with the high boost option, compared to the low boost option you just had to clock the needle?
Im assuming when calibrating your just clocking the needle more?

Check out the first page of this thread, thats the correct way to calibrate it. If swapping out the low boost decal for the higher boost one, the oem needle needs to come off, so it would be a smart idea to calibrate it again.

Yes. The needle will be re-clocked in a more counter clockwise position than the in the lower boost application. However, when switching over to the High Boost Overlay the gauge should be re-calibrated.

Absolutely correct. I always recommend calibrating or in this case re-calibrating when upgrading the overlay to the High Boost. I've talked with of a few guys who guess and set the needle without calibrating that have actually gotten it pretty close but, using the calibration method in the instructions is the way to go to ensure accuracy. It's a little more work but the results are worth it.

Ray,
I just installed it and I must say its a very nice product! It looks great up close which means it will look really good behind the cluster.

Anyhow one thing I did notice is the directions said to center the hole in the sticker over the metal pin, I had to offset the sticker quite a bit from the metal pin (the metal pin was almost touching the sticker).
I trimmed all the excess away and now its good to go, not sure if its just a problem with my cluster or not.

Another thing, I used a razor blade to trim the tab on the needle, it worked great and didnt make a mess like a dremel.

Once again, great write up for a great product!

Just a question. I am having a pain of a time removing the boost line. Why do you need to take the cluster out? Can I not do the work from within the car?

I know it would probably be easier but I have been trying for two days to get the boost line off. I swear I have about 1/2 an inch of movement.

Well just thought I should update this. I was able to set this up without taking the actual cluster out of the housing because I couldnt reach the boost gauge. I dont have the calibration stuff anyways but my plan is to find the fitting either on the engine or in the glove box to calibrate it.

for now, some pictures:

I put mine on without removing the gauge cluster too... It's a really nice piece, looks factory installed.
