ive been in deep hiding so to say. after several misbuilt motors and such took a toll on my mentally and financially also I had not been in the mood to even talk about my car much. but after a nice long vacation in myrtle beach and hearing all those mustangs kinda lit a small fire under my ass so to say.

anyways so good highlights this year for me.

1. finally paid the cobra off. its all mine debt free went a full 5 years!
2. went to mustang week again (missed last year)
3. the Monday after mustang week I picked up my freshly built motor (and I don't have that bad gut feeling like I did with the others)
4. making some small but important changes to the car
5. signed up for 2 mustang mags after letting them all expire 3 years ago.
6. won a really nice trip for work because I was #45 in the nation out of 2500+ people

I know some of you are saying this guy is just blabbering on. but for me its a kinda coming out of my shell. I have truly been depressed for about 4 years and ive dumped more $$$ in this car than planned. im over the $40k mark currently. I should mention that about $20k of that was from 3 previous engine failures!

I just wanted to say IM BACK!

also for those asking what the hell is my build the recap here:

283 ci teksid block
ARP everything
pro-gram billet main caps
heavily ported heads
bullet custom cams
4340 eagle crank
diamond custom pistons
manley billet I-beam rods
coated king bearings
t56 with McLeod rxt twin disc (upgraded input shaft)
sra with 3.73 gears
full road race suspension from MM
torque arm
pan hard bar
converted from 4 link to 3 link system
tube k-member, a-arms, coil overs
koni yellow struts
76mm precision turbo with dual ball bearing and billet wheel
borla stinger mufflers
id1000 injectors
fore fuel rails
magna fuel 750 pump
TSS billet oil pump gears in melling HV oil pump housing
powder coated everything!
ect...
push button start

motor is not back in the car yet...

last time it made 988 rwhp and 891 rwtq on 25psi with a slipping clutch (spec stage 3+ just could not hold that much power)

im hoping for the same or a little more :)

went from 329 ci to 283
went from 9.8 to 1 compression to now 10.4 to 1 compression
the rest is pretty much the same...

I'm glad you're in a much better place than you were before with your car. Going through motors like that is all the incentive to stop modding all together. I hope this motor brings you some enjoyment this time around.

P.S. You will need hell of a lot more than ID1000 injectors.

I remember your posts from your second engine build a while back. I would've folded my hand and moved on. You're more patient than I. Congrats!

Welcome back and congrats on paying off the car and the 45/2500 people!

You will need more than ID1000's.. Also who built the engine?

Welcome back Brian, I remember all the engine failures. It can be depressing, glad you pulled through.
I'd also like to know who built the new engine looks good. Congrats on your hard
work

I was no where near max duty cycle on those id1000 injectors the last 3 dyno trips. with 988 rwhp I wanna say it was around 75-80% duty cycle.

I had a local machine shop do the short block and I had a guy named mike from RPM of Georgia finish up the long block. the heads were ported by scott milner and I had the machine work on the heads and valve job done by engine services.

yes im excited

also im not using e85 so I don't understand why you guys think the id1000's wont work. I run it on 93 and c16 only.

we really don't have any e85 around here.

Do you have the specs on the cams? Curious to see since you had to get exhaust valve reliefs. That's pretty rare.

Welcome back and congrats on the car so far, looks like its going to be a monster... again lol.

the cams are not that big but diamond added the valve reliefs. im ok with it. if I go bigger later im safe. also with the reliefs im still 10.4 to 1 compression.
