Thanks to everyone for their 2 cents.......I've got 3800 miles on my 2012 that I bought last August and am going to add the ProCal tune. As said before........peace of mind. Can't wait to get it installed.

This is where I am confused as well, Jose. I know there is a FRPP dealer there in Houston, just can't remember the name, ATM. I will probably call and ask around and see if it's elligible to be installed at other dealers and still be warranted. So what should I go to a Ford Racing dealer have them install the procal and then call my ford dealer from where I bought the car lol. My dealer from where I got my 13 isn't a Ford Racing dealer.
Thanks, Viking. I will see if I can talk to the one of the service managers at the dealership I'm going through to do the install.I had called Ford Racing to confirm this before ordering mine. Warrantied as long a Ford dealer installs. Doesn't need to be a FRPP dealer. I did have trouble however getting some Ford dealers to perform the "install" since it's not technically a Ford part.
Of course, keep your receipt for the install.

I was thinking it was Tommy Vaughn, but that sounded like it was the RV dealership. Unless it's both. haha. I didn't know Mac Haik was too. Sweet. Thanks for the help.
Derek yes we have two Tommy Vaughn and MAC Haik.
I remember reading somewhere that the squirters got axed mid-run of the 2012s, exact time frame unknown thought. I'm kind of curious why Ford did away with them after just 1.5 years in production...unless they realized they didn't really need them. :shrug:I also talked to one of the FRPP supervisors at the Ford Carlisle event this year. He indicated there were zero mechanical failures traced back to the FRPP tune. So as others said this is a pretty low risk option.
He was also going to find more info on when they stopped using piston squirters during the 2012 production run but I still need to follow up with him on this.
I had the same mindset as some of you guys. i wanted a safe tune that would improve drive-ability while maintaining some type of warranty. The ProCal was perfect for me except the engine pinged at 4k RPM under heavy acceleration. I could not keep running this tune, regardless of how non-harmful FRPP said it was. Also I disagree with some of you in regards to the Auto installation. Sure the Procal give the manual a little more oomph, but I could still feel the extra torgue in my auto. It didn't change shift points, but the throttle response was better
This is the first "good" response I've heard about the pro-cal on the auto.....
But it doesn't change any of the shift points on the autos which can make a significant difference.
