Always cool to see those things working. We had one that would pull a fish from our pond every day around 5 o'clock for a while. Looks like a Cessna crashing landing in the back yard.
That's not a huge musky...but it ain't no bitch either lol
They aren't huge until they near 50 inches
My personal best is 53 inches and 31lbs
One of the lakes I fish is full of eagles (3 nesting pair) and they are better at fishing than I am lol...and I dont suck, and my 250 dollar Costa sunglasses dont have shit on their eyes lol
We used to get hundreds of Ducks congregating in the inlet of our lake at my old house and the Bald Eagles would come through and dive and swoop up the babies and other Ducks they could get their claws on. There were Eagles and nests all over the lake so we saw them daily.
I was expecting to see the eagle dive and snag the fish, and fly off. I was NOT expecting to see it doing a breast-stroke to shore, dragging the fish in tow. LOL. Nature is amazing!
That area is lousy with eagles. South of there is Alma, where they are like sea gulls. Ironically, a couple of hours ago I watched two eagles fight over a fish that one had pulled out of the Mississippi river 30 miles north of afton. They were maybe 15 ft over my head. They reminded me of the dragons from GOT.
We have an eagle nest on our cul de sac. The kids have to spot check the sky any time our puppy goes out.
Golden eagles are the bad bitches. Wife was up north working and the discussion of eagles came up with our new puppy. One of the ladies she was working with said they have a conservatory and there’s a golden eagle nest. They periodically check on the nest and hadn’t done so in over a year. The lady said she found 43 dog/cat collars
Eagle 1: "Hey, whatcha feeling for dinner?"
Eagle 2; "seafood"
Eagle 1: "anything in particular?"
Eagle 2: "fresh fish is always good"
Eagle 1: "dine in or carry out?"
Eagle 2: "been a long day..."
Eagle 1: "I gotchu, hold my beer"
