This is my first build of this caliber and i created this thread to show you guys what i started with, stages through the build, and how the outcome will be! Ive had 2 mustang's prior to this one and they've both been a blast. Bought my first one when i was 16, 2001 BULLITT with a Vortech v1sq supercharger kit that was installed by the previous owner. Sold it after about a year, just wasnt suitable for my needs at the time. Bought my *MINT* crystal white '97 cobra prior to this one and drove it daily for about a year until my cousin offered me more money than i origionally paid for it so it took it! Found my current car hiding down about an hour south of Atlanta, was only on its 2nd owner and had every reciept for the things done all except for the window tint and the weld-in flowmasters. Went 4 hrs down to look at it, paint was shot but it did run like a top and had a kenne bell sitting on top and i still feel i was paying basically Blue Book Value for it, so i brought it home for $6200. Here goes nothing............

The car was already slightly mod'ed when i got it.

BBK long tube headers and o/r H pipe with flowmasters and dumps
3.73 rear gears
Kenne Bell 1.7l
Steeda tri-ax short throw
some chinese 39lb injectors
KB boost-a-pump
and the driver mod :burnout:

<----the day i bought it

Right after i bought the car, LITERALLY DAY 2, i spun a rod bearing, chipped two pistons, took a chunk out of the side of cylinder #5, and shoved a chunk of piston through a valve. Completely my fault though, ran lean at WOT and i kept on digging! Was loaded with the SUCKY factory tune from kenne bell.

Called up MMR and had them build their 900SE 4.75L stroker motor, ARP everything, and put on a set of reproduction PI heads after they ported and polished them, also used brand new "stock" spec cams.

Painted the engine bay black while the motor was out.

After laying down just shy of 450hp, i knew that would never keep me happy......started with fuel mods

Went ahead and put eibach sport springs front and rear just for a better ride and installed a '04 Cobra fuel tank i picked up. Went ahead and tore into it, replacing the pumps with gt40 supercar pumps, the pprv delete, and a wiring upgrade kit from S&H Performance here locally

Love the car man and sick build! I love seeing 2V's built up. I have a soft spot for 2V GT's. Wheels look sick too. Any motor shots?

a member on here was talking about buying a 2.6l kenne bell but ended up backing out of it, i made sure it was ok with him and then called up Archangel Motorsports in Tulsa,OK and snagged it up!

Great build, I like seeing 2v's being built. When done right they make some awesome power. Whats the compression ratio on your new engine? How much boost are you going to run with the new fuel system?
