I just wanted to share a couple pics of my car before with the original parchment top and after with a used black top I picked up. I think it made a huge difference in appearance.

One with my SSRs just for the heck of it. Will be selling the BBS shortly:

One of when I picked the car up originally:

I've done quite a bit to the car since I bought it, but I think changing tops has been my favorite mod so far. Next on the list is a detail/buff. I hope to do that in the next couple weeks. Still have a lot left that needs to be done.

Did you do the work yourself? Curious how challenging it was to do if you did.
Yes I did. You will need one other person to help lift the top out after you've removed everything holding it in. The black top was on a frame so it was very easy. It took about 3 or 4 hours to complete. I found a really nice how to before I started that showed every bolt that needed to come out.

Same here. I've only heard of a few here who love them.

One of those is me! However.... I looked at a black/parchment vert and didn't love it. I'd never own it, but black on black just looks better! For you, a good switch sir

Personally I like the parchment top more. I most likely would never change to a parchment top if I owned a black top convertible, but if I bought a parchment top car I would leave it as it.

Either way, nice looking car. I love both wheels.

Everyone is different. That's why they offered the parchment tops in the first place I reckon. At first I had doubts about changing the top color in order to keep it somewhat original, then I said screw it, there is almost nothing on the car that's factory haha. Thanks!

this post makes me sad
The parchment top cars were very rare, very few made. I also happen to think it looks better as well.

I undersatnd the car is highly modified, but man, that just makes me sad to see. Hope you atleast saved the top.
