Ha-ha yeah I'm still around and kicking, unfortunately the car started making really odd sound when letting off the throttle. I'm thinking it's the tial bypass but not sure.

That is a beauty. Car will run like a totally different animal.

Hope so. I'll try to update this thread weekly on how the belt holds up. Drew from Carbinite said there should some dust in the beginning but should be clear up as time goes on. We'll see. You must be so GLAD not to have to deal with this anymore.

tell you what... i do NOT miss the belt slip issues. Once i got it sorted out, my car absolutely ripped.

The guy i sold my kit to just send me a picture via text of his dyno session. Made 655whp and 547 tq. ... he's got 3.31 gears BTW.

Hard to argue with that!

It's in.
I'll be using the same belt as its only a few months old. Cleaned off all the dust from the back of the blower and see how it goes

I had bad luck with my green gates. Slipped like crazy.

I'm sure that pulley will fix it up tho!

Let us know how it feels

Here's a shot of the back of the blower after about 35 miles and 2 passes.

Not too bad. I've been trying to avoid going into neutral after WOT or from high speed (habit) so the belt doesn't take as much of a beating.

I also put the WG back in with the 9.7 springs. I checked my boost readings with the record feature of my aeroforce gauge. Somethings still not right. Anyone else record their boost readings with their aeroforce and get weird readings? Here's what the recorder picked up

looks correct to me. The wastegate appears to start opening up around 6000 rpm. My experience is the opening of the gate is gradual. It does not immediately snap open at 9.7 psi but instead begins slowly opening at a lower psi until its fully opened at 9.7 psi. On turbo applications this is desired to keep boost from creeping.

Verify your gauge is correct. borrow from a friend or buy a cheapo mechanical $50 autometer boost gauge and see how it compares to what youre running now.

My AEM digital gauge was found to be off by about 1.5 psi and has since been changed out.

BTW that's a lot of dust. Green gates belts suck. I'd go to the cheap $20 black 99.4" from your local parts store.

BUT MORE IMPORTANT than all the analytics........ HOW DID IT FEEL!?!?

It was my understanding that the way the torque booster kit is supposed to work is it should reach around 9.7 by 6200rpm and keep it that way until redline.

I will verify the gauge again with a manometer.

Drew @ Carbinite told me this was going to happen. He said I should be seeing more dust then normal in the beginning and it should be clear up. We'll see.

As far as feel, it felt just like when I first put the 3.33 pulley. The booster comes on even sooner.

I took the WG off. Will update once I make another run.

Yep looks like its hitting full boost around 6k and then it will fluctuate a bit. Mine does the same. Same gauge. However I see 9.4-6. I think your gauge is reading low for some reason. The WG is bleeding off boost so its at 9.5-7.

Edit: Be careful taking it off.... 13-14 psi on a stock motor may not be good.

Just tested it and it's reading 0.4 lower than actual (or manometer). I'll update after a run without the WG

Just FYI my WG setup with 3.33 pulley hits 11.5 psi and vents with the 11.6psi spring around 6400rpm's. Paxton setup.
