Funny how quickly you shut up.
this was my with my stock 99 botom end and 03 heads. all the car had was jba shorts bassoni off road x and cat back, stock intake with k&n filter, lightning maf, and 2.93 pully. it was on crap 91 at 12 psi with 13* and he left it a little fat to be safe. i dont think that 424 whp with that set up and tune would be struggling to make 425. Greg at RET said he could get another 40 hp out of it easy but since it had 110,000 miles on the stock bottom end and my ex had down shifted and revved it past 8,000 rpm he would rather play it safe. oh and thats 465 wtq.
the higher compression is what gives you that amazing tq curve and thats really what matters. this isnt high school any more no one cares about max hp with a crap tq curve and worse gas mileage. fighting over max hp is like trying to cheat on a dick measuring contest when the girl doesnt car about that last 1/8 of an inch but its the girth (torque curve) that really makes her fell like shes being split in two.
