Got a chance to do a few "street pulls" today. The V2 does feel stronger. Temperature was brutal today. 75 degrees with a 72 wind chill.
So do you feel any difference in performance with the v2
I installed my V2 tune last week. I've been running bama since last april. My first tune was decent. I ran the race tune because I liked the slightly more aggressive feel. Drivability was decent, little jumpy, and my torque band felt like it had a flat spot shifting into second. In September I got a revision right after Paul got to Bama. This tune was a pretty good upgrade in daily driving. Still felt a little under powered, but nothing really to complain about.
Last Friday I installed my new V2 revision. I'm honestly surprised with the difference in feel. Drivability is on par with driving a stock 5.0. The power band is smooth and it feels like you're pulling at full power with every shift. I am honestly very pleased with the upgrade. My mods are in my signature, so as you can tell, I'm not pushing any major power. However, if the tunes continue to work with the new mods like it does with my current mods, then I will be 100% satisfied. I understand that Bama has a not so great history or reputation on this forum, but I think that all of the nay-sayers should really give Bama another shot. Seems like Paul may have finally allowed Bama to turn the corner.
Very happy with my bama tuned full bolt on cobra jet 5.0. No drive ability issues even low speed with a monoblade tb after they actually got a cobra jet car on their dyno and redid the tune.
Just got my V2 tune but gotta wait till April before I start driving my car to feel the results.
Cant wait!
I'm willing to admit it if Bama has gotten it together, but I'd just like to see data logs of some of these customer's tunes. If they're running well and they're safe, then credit is due. I think it's great if they're a viable tuning option now, but can we just see some data first? You can't blame people for being skeptical after all this time.
Will be interesting to see how the bama "v.2" tunes run up here at Bandimere (6k feet ASL). I ran several cars last season stock for stock (except tune/maybe tires) both auto and manual that were running bama 93 race tunes. Let's just say I'm not looking for a bama tune anytime soon.... or ever, LOL. :-D
Good things being said about Bama which is awesome
Alex.
I just shipped my tuner to SCT on Wednesday. I will update you by PM when I get it back.
Thanks.
Evan.
had a chance to try my V2 today. hats off to Bama and the new tuners my shifts and feels right now good throttle response and power low end and top end no lag in the throttle and that dreaded delay that you have when you mash the pedal from a roll gone. even with the 4.10,s that I have the car just shifts and feels right I have a automatic and this is just the 93 performance tune again job well done I like my car again
Great to hear the v2 is running good
DSG2003SVT - Are you on AnythingCoyote on FaceBook? They're all over the place and I encourage them to be posted for others to get a better idea of how they're running but I assure you that they're safe, reliable, and powerful.
Alex
This is why i love dealing with american muscle great customer service thanks for the quick response Alex
Fortunately, I don't have a Facebook account. I waste enough time on here.
Will definatly keep you up to date thanks again Alex
Snow is finally melting got my new tunes waiting to get the car out of storage I've got spring fever.......
I've been digging and digging and digging but I can't seem to find any "Lund vs Bama v2" dyno pulls. I'm on board the boat in terms of believing Bama has turned things around for tuning the 5.0, but still want to see some evidence to how the v2 tune stacks up against a Lund tune ...
Here's an older bama tune vs lund.

The v2 feels stronger than my old lund tbh. It also shifts quicker. I like it alot. I hated the original bama tunes, but paul knows his shit.
