Sounds like a good list of parts, both already on the car and that you are transfering from the SB.

I really want to cam my cobra eventually, and I love how yours sounds. When you drive it some I will be curious about the driveability of them.

I drove it to work today so I can get a "VIN verification" for registration purposes..On the way over it ran perfect. The idle is a little high and seems to run a bit rich, but I assume that's tune related.

When I test drove it (before I bought it) I did multiple 3 point turns and it didn't stall or want to die at all. So far so good on drivability.. But this is literally my 2nd time driving the car lol.

I have noticed on cold start up it will die if you don't give it a little gas to get her going.. again, probably tune related. As far as I'm concerned nothing on this car was done correctly so everything is suspect to me.

The higher idle is probably necessary for those cams and a rich idle is probably the norm to. When you go big cams like that you really need to run an open loop idle as depending upon how they're degreed there will be a lot of overlap.

I don't think Id ever be happy with cams that big as its not going to drive like stock even though some will claim that their tuner can fix it.

The higher idle seems to fluctuate... Again, limited sample, but It has idled at around 700 and has a really nice "chop" and idles fine, but after driving it in stop and go traffic today is when I noticed was idling a bit high, around 1400-1500.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to cams, so I'm learning as I go. But I had the Blue car and the mystichrome idling right next to each other and I couldn't even hear the blue car.. lol.. Same catback, but the blue car still has the headers. Thing sounds amazing. Really curious to see how they respond to the TVS.

But all in all, so far its not an inconvenience to drive with the cams.. Take off seems like stock, reverse then into 1st seems like stock ( no bog or stalling). Time will tell though.

I've been pretty busy lately. Made a few changes to my end game goals.

- I sold the TVS with plans to pick up a 2.9 during the holiday sales.
- Ditched the Division X return stuff and picked up a fore set up. (I will retain the stock hardlines as mentioned before, everything else is Fore)
- Picked up UPR quadrant and firewall adjuster
- Picked up some Powered by ford coil covers

I have all the parts off the blue car now, and I'm just waiting to get it put back together and sold so I have the room for the Mystichrome. I did have a chance to finally do the compression check, and it turned out as expected. About 20-25 PSI lower acrossed bank 2. The good news is they are all holding compression and it looks like I'm going to get away with getting the cams degreed properly and calling it a day.

The motor is still going to come out for the cams. It'll give me a good chance to get everything cleaned and possibly a wire tuck done.

So I sold the blue car awhile ago and have been slowly buying parts for this one.

I'm almost ready to get the motor pulled and put on some goodies.

I ended up having to do some house projects first (build a shed, extra storage), to make sure I had the extra room to do everything in my garage.

Here are pictures of the things I've bought for the sake of tracking my build.

2.9 whipple. The snout is off so it can be polished. Still uncertain on which pulley combo to run. Currently have a 3.375.

Steve, you might enjoy this then. Your wheels look great!

Had to get it moved to the middle of the garage for disassembly. So I had a reason to put the wheels on!

Yeah, in the end it just wasn't worth it. I still got a relatively good deal on a low mileage MC. Plus, its an excuse to pull the motor and get everything cleaned up, and put on the right way.

I'm excited to get it on the road.

I feel your pain, when i found my low mile MC, there was nothing keeping me from buying it, but just like yours previous owner had some shady stuff done to it. I have removed just about everything he had done.

Love seeing your progress that wheel setup looks awesome!

That's so messed up man. I remember when Tim was selling it for such a good price. Lol not even a few weeks later he bought a twin turbo mystichrome......

Yeah, I've talked to Tim quite a bit about the car. I wish I would have got it from him, I could have saved a couple bucks!

The motor a transmission came out today. We took it out the bottom for a couple of reasons. One, I wanted to see how much room we would have to work with. It'll be going back in from the bottom mainly because of the longtubes. Two, I was terrified of messing up the paint on the way out.

Everything went smoothly. Hoping to get it to the shop this week to have the cams degreed, and once it get backs it'll be getting the all the goodies.

In the mean time, I have some serious cleaning up to do in the engine bay.

We even got some help from our new pup!
