2006 Eclipse

I saw one a few weeks ago in town here. The DSM plant is here, and that is the only one I have ever seen, so I assume it is preproduction???

It looks like a 350Z.

When I first saw it I thought it looked like a 350Z/G35/Audi TT/Subaru SVX(window)/10 other cars.

Bottom line is that I HATED the 3g Eclipse when it came out, and then bought one 4 mos. later.

I think this one will sell like hotcakes, and help out Mitsu which is a good thing. I won't be buying one, maybe one in like 3 yrs. for half the price because Mitsu's resale is garbage.

But here are some in person pics taken, I think the black looks nice. I do hate the mirrors though. :xpl: And the factory body kit isn't THAT bad.

THey come out Memorial Day this month I believe, so that should be production. :shrug: :thumbsup:

Really, the car looks pretty good from some angles, and just ugly from others.:shrug:

I do think with some exterior mods they will be attractive, mainly that damn triangle grill. :xpl:

I think in this shot it's a G35 EXACTLY. The car just morphs from different angles. :dw:

2.) heavy as hell...32xx pounds (more then a new MGT I know)
3.) aenmic/weak V6 as top engine
4.) did I mention it was ugly?

The front end looks like a cobalt, the rear a 350Z, and it has accord design elements all over it too..... :xpl:

It looks ok. Not great, but not horrible for sure.

It's performance is just about equal to the Cobalt SS. Not particularly impressed there.

What will it cost?

The Cobalt SS is 210 hp...Not 260 if I'm not mistaken
