Really curious on the shooters race/nationality and weapons used. I'm assuming he isn't white and an AR wasn't used since that wasn't the immediate headline plastered everywhere.
On the path to Democrat destruction, Detroit was anti gun... so its a recent deal.
He was white. No Armalite Rifle 15 reported though, only thing I saw reported was long gun.

Those comments, holy shit. I can see some of them maybe seeing it as the usual 4chan shit and not taking it seriously, but some of them actually legitimately encouraging him to do it and what targets to pick out, wtf.

a big part of the problem is computers/technology and people who have no self-control to get up from the damn thing every now and then and go for a walk, go for a hike or a climb, or do something outdoors OTHER than sit around online all day long.
As such, they lose their personal interaction skills with other humans, and become hermits in their apartments, bedrooms or basements, they become anti-social and develop deep rooted hatred of those in society, often spawning jealousy and rage at those people.
These diminished skills result in rejection, lack of sexual intercourse, lack of interaction with the opposite sex (or the sex of their preference whichever it may be), loss of self-esteem, lack of self-worth, depression and even lack of basic human interaction with friends and family, only interacting with those of the outside world when absolutely necessary (work, bank, grocery store, gasoline, liquor store, or wal-mart).

I live about 3 hours north of Roseburg, been down there a few times for soccer and golf tournaments. It's such a nice area, crazy to think something would happen there like this. I don't have any classes on Thursday's so I didn't go into school today (WSU Vancouver) but it will be interesting to see what it's like there tomorrow. 'The Onion Router' = TOR. It's a volunteer network of servers that encrypt data. It's for anonymous browsing. You can only access Deep Web with TOR. You cannot simply type a .onion in any surface web browser an expect access to the Deep Web.
And the hydra comment...if you shut down 4chan, people will simply go somewhere else. There was already a mass exodus from 4chan to 8chan last year.
Very sad for all those involved. You aren't getting rid of the millions of guns in the US. The system needs to change. Mental illness affects tons of people, but a lot of them don't have access to doctors or meds because they have no insurance. I love going to the shooting range and doing some target shooting. Am I a danger to society because I have access to guns. Absolutely not.

I see that a photo of the shooter has been released as well as some web site info. about him. I now understand why it took so long, no way to claim that he is a tea party member. What a disappointment for our main stream media.

The Onion Router. It's a method of encrypting and moving your web traffic through thousands of anonymous servers around the world so that your activity isn't traced back to you. The idea was born from the fear of the enemy cutting our government's ability to communicate. Networking allowed communications to bounce from node to node so if you destroyed one node it would reroute to another. Much of the reporting from Egypt riots and from dictatorships is done through networks like TOR. You can also host websites through it. It's not fool proof so don't get any stupid ideas.
The Dark Web is the anonymous brother to what you browse now. Anonymity brings out the worst in people so there's lots of that stuff there but finding things is the difficult part. The dark and deep web aren't the same and it's not all bad stuff, it has some legitimate uses too and surprisingly many of the services you use on a daily basis use both. When you get past the tabloid horror stories of it all there's some interesting stuff that goes through it all.
Biggest thing is Americans need to stop freaking out every time it happens. I get that it is tragic but it is not unique to our country. Russia had one of, if not the worst school massacres on record where hundreds died and they were young kids. The more we sensationalize it the more the crazies find value in the act in fulfilling their worthless lives. We are all guilty of it by turning on the news and feeding the ratings but we have to understand the issue and move on when it happens, because I can tell you one thing for certain: there will be a lot more school shootings and hundreds more are going to die. So where will be then? Nowhere except the same place we are now glued to the headlines. What did all these shooters have in common? They targeted schools that are supposed to be gun free zones. Seems to be working out great so far. So how about we start allowing CCW holders to carry on campus to start.
The worst school massacre in US history involved explosives not firearms. If you are motivated to kill, the means are available regardless of what the government bans. The whole world is made up of things that can be made to go boom and bang, and let's not get started on chemical weapons.

THAT is the real problem in society today IMO, the motivation to kill and/or commit acts of violence against others. The growing hatred/disdain towards others, or groups of people. The focus shouldn't be on the weapon of choice with these acts of violence and murder, but on the motives behind it. Too many in society are like pressure cookers, waiting to explode. And as we saw in that earlier linked "anonymous" transcript, even urged on my others filled with the same hatred. It's not unique to the United States, of course. It's all over the world.

I could not believe the crap that was coming out of bummers mouth last night, these folks will never get it through their heads what the actual problem is and try to fix it. They're not releasing more info on him because they don't want him getting the notoriety that he was seeking.
I think this statement by Morgan Freeman is on point. I don't want to know the shooters name. Or where he's from. Or how old he was. Or if it was even a he. Don't let his name get out and people might stop doing these mass shootings when the only real goal is to apparently kill themselves.
