Surprisingly Florida was not the biggest gainer in net population growth

NC has state income tax. There are rumors of a repeal, and rates have come down in the past few years thanks to a Republican Majority. Dems held the General Assembly from just after the Civil War until 2010, and 'Pubs have had a veto-proof majority off-and-on since then.

    Dad joke comin' at ya

Someone in my wife's family cross-stitched that joke and framed it. We have it hanging in our laundry room.

    Let's see those Latest Purchases!

Recteq Bullseye pellet smoker. I also bought the griddle pan for it. Fits nearly all 22" grates and Weber accessories. Four cooks in, and it's been awesome.

    Table Saws?

Agreed, or at least in addition to a portable unit like a Bosch or DeWalt for the smaller, repetitive cuts.

PSA: Clean/Replace Dryer Duct With New Dryer Install

I've heard that the oil residue from fabric softeners is what really cranks up the temperature during a duct fire. I mentioned it to my wife, and she never bought another sheet.

    Too much

We have around 30 coffee mugs. I only use one at a time. I usually rinse it out and set it near the sink so I can use it again. I can wash and put away all dishes, and when I come home the next day, there are at least 8 coffee mugs in the sink between TWO people that day.

    Too much

The water bottle thing in my house is ridiculous. Me, the wife, and one kid who never uses one. And those damn insulated Yeti and Yeti-knockoff tumblers.

Hang on to your lawn machines

Nah. Just a different religion to give their life meaning, 'cause over-the-top environmentalism ain't it.

National freight giant "Yellow Freight" facing a work stoppage and imminent bankruptcy.

Maybe not. I read a report today that said Yellow only carried about 7% of nationwide LTL freight. Hopefully that (and the employees!!) can be absorbed by other carriers that have been begging for help in the post-Covid, Bidenomics world.

    Tired of replacing ballasts

Yup. Removed the ballasts and wired 120V to the tombstones for the type of tubes I bought. Huge difference in light quality and quantity. As a bonus, mine don't attract bugs like my old flourescents did when I'd have the garage door open on summer nights.

Important 5A case that is getting zero attention

Sotomayor disagrees with the Biden administration. Jackson, Kagan, and Gorsuch are in agreement. The Biden administration is defending a position that supports a classic interpretation of the Constitution. What universe am I in? Holy crap.

    Mortgage Rates north of 7%

Yep, too much government spending caused all of it, and the spending hasn't exactly changed. I have a bad feeling that the high rates from the late 70s, early 80s will look positively luxurious by the time the Fed gets done. The wife and I refinanced 23 years remaining on a 30-year at 4.375%...

    New Mustang Release

I hate that they're not offering a manual in the EB...yet. Yet?? Seems that would help get some younger enthusiasts involved without having to blow such a large wad of cash on a GT.

    Kitchen-aid Appliances

You might want to look into Bosch as well. Or if you have more to spend, Thermador and Gaggenau might be options. The parent company is Bosch Siemens Home Appliances (B/S/H), headquartered in Irvine, CA. Their customer service department, central distribution, and service parts department are...

    New Mower

The Kawasaki will probably live longer than you. My dad bought a Dixon ZT with a Kawasaki in 1987 and sold it in 2015. He never changed the oil in it...just topped it off every month or so.
