Umm...if I'm entirely honest, I'm probably going to take advantage of my gender in this case. It gets my questions answered quickly lol. I'm not a gearhead by any stretch of the imagination. Hell, I'm lucky that I know how to change my own oil and tires. But I definitely want to learn...and if being a female makes people more willing to want to teach me then I shouldn't neglect that obvious advantage...

And if I can be entirely honest, that is possibly the most stupid, self-centered, egotistical attempt at reasoning I've ever seen for flaunting your femininity. You want real, fast answers here about your car, do the following:

1. Read. Learn. Ask questions in other people's threads if you don't understand. Nobody will make fun of you for asking.
2. USE THE SEARCH FEATURE.
2. If your search returns nothing of value, post up a clear, concise question, don't hem and haw for pages basking in your newfound male attention while talking about ricer mods and posting silly myspace photos hoping your boobs will get you answers. They won't. You want answers? See #1.

It is entirely possible to be a female enthusiast without portraying yourself as a groupie or an attention whore. There are several here who have done so, and quite successfully.

BTW, nice car. I helped build a 99 vert, white/tan/tan, that combo will always be special to me. The car ran 10.6's with nitrous on the stock trans, it's now turboed but hasn't had a clean pass since. Owner/driver is overseas on business too much to work on it :(

Wow, ok, since I already explained this in PM to the one other female that posted in this thread, I might as well say it here too...it's called sarcasm. Obviously it didn't translate well into type. I was being facetious, albeit that was lost on everyone especially given the ridiculous argument that ensued.

I think you're getting too vag hurt over us arguing. It's what we do.

It keeps the site clean from posers/douchbags... Kinda like a self cleaning crew. :)

Seriously, yes, I hate fighting. Especially if it's an argument connected to me in any way shape or form. I hate drama and this is the epitome of drama! It was fun at first, the banter was great, I got some good suggestions on where to start, I met some nice people in the matter of like 2 days...but for it to blow up in a matter of seconds? It couldn't have gown down any faster if I had soaked it in gasoline and lit the match myself.... Really, I would think if we were all in a bar you'd be duking it out w/ one another rather than yelling over the internet. It's what you do???

Listen Bro...

I understand you have a slight Napoleon complex due to me being an alpha male on the site, but your attempts to sound like a grown man make me think you're more of a chick than FiveohhhStang...

Tell ya what... You can follow me around somenight and I'll show ya how my massive physique picks up all the hotties. You can have their fat friends. Deal?

Next person who ask for Pics/bewbs or anything else off topic gets a week off minimum. You may think it is cute, the OP may even like it but I'm not putting up with it. Where I see this going is the OP ends up putting up pics in the pics and vids section a lot of leghumping follows, this thread goes to SD and another female member is history. It stops here and now.
Keep it on topic. The car, not the girl. Hell I can't even take a couple days away and my sections go to shit.

Thank you for the comments on the car. I love it and I'm learning. I've already made a few new decisions about the direction to take the appearance of the car in based on suggestions from some people here, which I really appreciate.

As for facebook or anywhere else off this site, it's not happening. If I happen to meet someone in person from this website to talk about our cars then great but it stays here. I'm not looking to pick up anyone, and am entirely happily married (if I wasn't do you think I would have bought a car for the husband in the first place?). The innocent flirtatious banter doesn't bother me in the slightest. If it does bother anyone else, then ignore it. The rude commentary about me or pertaining to me, well as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't give those types of people 2 seconds of my time and attention anyhow. At least now they've helped me sort out some of who they are. But absolutely no, I will not be getting on any level of "friendly" with anyone from this website beyond the topic of my car.

This is one of the more entertaining threads in the NE section that we've had in a while. Good times.

the last two pages just made me laugh, tremendously. premium member ownage ftw, gogo stampede enforcing rules.

OP - other styling mods you were talking about, you might want to look into tail light tint, third light conversion(says mustang when lit up) letter inserts for rear bumper, chin spoiler(goes on front bumper), new rims/tires, maybe some chrome tips for the exhaust(im partial to the stock tips for some reason.. dunno.) check out americanmuscle.com great site.

*sigh* I'm over the fighting/bickering. Not worth my time.

z - the exhaust has actually been changed out. There's a whole new magnaflow cat-back exhaust system on there and it looks pretty nice. The antenna has been replaced w/ a short one already. I do have letter inserts for the bumper on the car already in it.

I'm torn about the tint because I really want the car clear/white as much as possible. I want to stay away from black and dark colors. I was looking at some LED style lights (different than the ones I originally posted that everyone hates) that are clear and that I really liked, but I think I might just leave the tail lights as-is, but change out the headlights.

I'm definitely not going to lower the car like a lot of people suggested. I'd hit far too many things w/ the front bumper and I'd rather not have that cost too.

Here are a few of the other pics that the previous owner sent me so that you can see more of the car

Hi and welcome to the forum! Nice to see another girl on here. You have picked up a beautiful Mustang. Have fun making it more "yours".

And, thank you to you and your husband for serving our country!
