Issue with Rick @ Amazon Racing

We always check packages when they come in We didn't in this case because:
1. The customer's motor was at the machine shop being built
2. I trusted Chuck
3. I needed the cobra one and that one was opened right away so I knew the other had to be the mach intake.
Didn't need it till the engine came back.

Rick, like I've said 1000 times in phone calls, just send me the cobra upper (one thats in good shape like I sent you), then I'll ship the marauder back. Put it to rest. Only reason I came public is because you haven't responded. Did Linn tell you I called on Monday as well?

After that, anyone want to buy a cobra intake once I get an upper? :pepper:

In all honesty, the OP was just asking to get screwed. How do you trust anyone with $750 worth of hardware. Where's your head dude?!

With that out of the way.

Rick and Linn, what kinda buisness practice is this? You don't pay someone once you use the part. You pay for it once you receive it.

If Rick and Linn would've been following basic buisness procedure, we'd be discussing a totally different matter. Something to the sound of this.

By doing things the way you did them, you raised doubts in future customers. You should've payed for the intake after you received it, there is no excuse for holding out on paying anyone for that long.

I hope you guys make this right.

You received his item. You didn't pay. I don't understand how there is any arguement here. I'd be pissed if I sold someone something and they didn't pay me for it for over a year.

He was paid when the customer gave me the money. It was not a year. The motor was back in less then 3 months. When the motor was done and the customer was back in town he paid me and chuck was sent the money.

2000BlackGT. hope this is a lesson learned. next time just sell you own parts locally for cash or even on ebay you might have better luck over pawning them off at mustang shops

Wow, this changes everything. :nono: If it was just sitting around for months, ANYONE could have tampered with it. Its pretty clear now what probably happened and its pretty sad that nothing was done to make this right. :nonono:

No. I had emailed/PMed Rick in the past and it always took so long or no response that it was easier/faster (if you can believe that) to call. I do have my phone calls from my cell phone, not sure what good that will do. But why would I waste time with phone calls if I was a scammer? These are only my cell phone calls I have logs of. How many times I called from a land line I have no idea.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who has gone through the lost email/phone call shuffle with them. Some how the internet loses 99% of the emails sent to ATS. It's very odd.

That is not how things work. You purchased the product to use in your customer's build. Your customer did not purchase the product from the OP. You were responsible for paying the OP when the goods were received. He did not extend you a line of credit when he shipped the merchandise.

any idea how many hands would have been on that package before it was delievered here? I doubt it would have been a driver at all..

why was the package NOT inspected upon receipt? that would be and always is the first thing any company does when they get product in. if amazon did this then it would have been caught a year and a half ago. if you went to best buy and bought anything and CALLED them and told them the contents are wrong and then did not return it for over a year what do you think they would say when you got around to bringing it back?:shrug: sorry amazon i dont know ya but you need to do the right thing and pay him. it was your mistake in not checking the box.

Why should he do that? He trusted you enough to provide payment on goods after you received them which you didn't do for quite some time. You should trust him to send the part back to you after you send him the correct part.

Also to add, pay when paid is a shitty way to do business.

I have added another SVTP Vendor to the list of people I will never do business with.
