Hey everyone, we just returned home to be delighfuly surprised to even more donations.

The toal fund is at $1210.00. I can't believe it.

Here are the details of what happened today.

Aeropostle was having 50-70% off everything in the store. My 13 year old daughter picked out five shirts, 15 pair of socks for $10.00, and two hoody sweatjackets for the girl. That total was $100.65, plus we got her a $200.00 gift card from that store.

Went to Payless shoe store and got $200.00 gift card.

Went to Super WalMart and got a $500.00 gift card.

Total spent was $1000.65.

Met with MACA member, Scott Hundley, and he donated a Sony digital Camera and some jackets shoes and pants.

My daughter is wrapping the clothing items for the girl and is going to write a pen-pal letter with it.

My kids really enjoyed today. My 15 yr. old son was getting his hair cut, and when I walked in, I overheard him telling the stylist about the car forums and what we were doing at the mall today. He didn't know I was there listening, but he was sincerely excited about it. Thank you for that everyone. My children are realizing what some people in this world are really going through.

Thanks,

J.R.

wow, I was one of the first few to post in this thread and never came back to look until just now. figuring I would like to just see what everyone else has said. simply amazing what has taken place. And I can also attest that the original thought from Rod came from the heart, as I know him personally and JR as well. both great people as well as so many others as we have seen.

JR, glad cutoff isn't till midnight. money coming over shortly.

Another great idea with picking a family every yr. The first thing I thought of was former FSU and current NFL (tampa bay buc's) running back, Warrick Dunn. Such a wonderful person and role model. If you don't know what he has gone through or what he has been doing, I encourage you to search his name. It is amazing what he has been doing for a number of yrs now and how he has gotten a number of other NFL players involved or inspired them to do something similar to what he does.

this is just what he has done this year

No problem Jason. Thanks.

Caitlin has asked to be able to post something to all of you. Please see below.

Dear MACA Members,
As you all know I am Caitlin I am JR's 13 year old daughter. I am just so relieved because I know that Terry (coworker) and his daughter are going to have a beautiful Christmas this year because all of you put effort in this situation to help out both of them. When my dad told me about this I was about to break down in tears I mean it is just terrible having a kid without a wife and being affraid to walk home from work without getting jumped and beaten to death, nobody should live like that it is very dissapointing to many of us, but we all know that lots of people live like that. It is amazing though that you guys donated money to these guys. When I went shopping for Terry and his daughter I was soooo excited to come home and wrap everything knowing that I did something good for somebody else. I have also learned a valuable lesson today and that is, its better to give then recieve. Thanks to all of you Terry and his daughter are going to be spending the holidays happily and thankfully!!!
XOXO,
Caitlin.

Can you extend the cut-off till Monday? I simply do not have any extra money until then but because of kindness I was granted by another Mustang site at Thanksgiving when my family needed a boost I want to pay it forward. Thanks.....

I got a car with a title I cant clear. Bought it from someone, but it has a lien on it from a dealership thats out of business. If anyone knows someone at Motor Vehicle that can investigate the lien so I can clear it, he can have the car!

I'd love to see this be a changing moment in his life situation.

pp sent.

I am not sure what state you live in or how your states work, but there should not be lein on it anymore if that particular place went out of business. Try and file Lost Title on the vehicle due to the time.

This is an awesome Idea to give this guy a vehicle that can get him to and from work and his daughter to school.

A member of mine on United Stangs posted this thread and I just got through reading this entire thread.

I also have Paypal'd my $20 as well. I am honored to know that I donated to such a kind gesture and I hope him and his family have a WONDERFUL Christmas.

If some of you will remember, we did this for our Local US(United Stangs) Hero, Frosty. He was severely injured in Iraq and lost his leg and damn near his other foot. It feels good to help in any way that you can.

We spread Frosty's story across the WORLD, and when it was all over and done with, we raised over $8,000 for him from Mustang Sites. He is now fixing to send his car to a Shop to get it changed to an Automatic and this car is going in for some major surgery and will come out a MONSTER.

SVT Performance stepped up to the plate and if I recall, raised damn near $1000 for Frosty. Thank You for that!!!!

To the OP. You are a True Hero Sir, even though you had no intentions of having this spiral out of control the way it did. You will make this man and his daughter feel the love and warmth of the ENTIRE Mustang and Ford Communities from across the country. I wish I could see the look on the mans face when you present him with what we have all donated to him. I REALLY would love to see his daughter's face as well.

I am already tearing up as I finish typing this.

Thank You for this and Thank You to all of the other Members of the Mustang Community. It shows what kind of people us Stangers really are.
