That’s why I opted for the 2 step harness and pinned it out. Kind of a bitch to fit under the coil covers but beats that
I think somewhere maybe there is a pass through connector that fit between the ecu and main harness (MSD?). I would have done that for a little more money or my normal tap method. Made the mistake of doing all the research then having things come up, went to a shop who didn't even read the directions.
Pull the pin, find a good spot, remove a touch of mid wire insulation carefully with a xacto, solder, tiny dab of rtv, slip over heat shrink (correctly sized). If you need a disco put a Delphi or weather pack up the line for serviceability. Not the fastest or cheapest but best way I've figured out for 2:1 connections, which I don't like to due anytime.
I feel like doing those "right" could be a whole thread on different techniques.
