How cool is that? Buy a nice, comfy car that Grandma can drive to the grocery store, take it to track, and run 10's...... bitchin!

That's a hero run. Do not expect 10s in 99% of situations. It's amazing. But it's setup

Our track won't even let is make a pass if it's that cold. They shut is down to 1/8th mile

911 turbos and gtrs been doing this for awhile now.

Totally concur, but they do it for a lot more money, with a lot more complexity, and with power-adders.

The C8 is a standard, basic, 'antiquated' pushrod engine with no power-adder...... it's just beautiful that an old-school engine still has relevance. Any one of us here could overhaul and assemble a C8 engine with minimal difficulty. Try that with some of the exotics.

But in the end you drive away sitting on cheap GM seats listening to an AC Delco radio while the Exotics lift their pinky finger and laugh.

That C8 made those two runs look so effortless. No sense of brutal sledgehammer power and torque. It just.....gets it done. Very impressive cars.

But as much as I like the C8, I'd take a 2021 GT-500 if I had to choose between the two.
