I mean, what wouldn't I use it for?

I could take engines out. Load my truck. Go get the mail. Bushhog the yard. Dig a hole. Run stuff over.

The list goes on.
All this everyone thought I was crazy buying a JD 2520 to maintain about an acre of fenced grass. Meanwhile I’ve built a 28x16 deck with it, re graded per of the yard, dug for patio under the deck loaded and in loaded heavy equipment from my truck, snow removal the list is endless.

I had a Toro Time cutter model. 22hp Kawasaki, great mower. Reasonably priced equipment. The commercial Toro's are great too, but priced accordingly. Brother does some commercial mowing and has a 60" Toro with ride select. Has a bad back and can stand to ride it all day.

The LA344 is good to 500lbs at full height. I guess it depends on the engine he's pulling. A smaller aluminum one, sure. A solid iron FE, nope. Haha.

You are correct but what I find is,
1. it really struggles down low. The higher you are the better it does.
2. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. lol
Easy for me to say as I have other equipment at my disposal.
I once removed a Chevy truck 305 after ONLY unbolting the engine and transmission mounts. The most fun I ever had pulling a motor.

Agreed x2. I was considering using the LA344 for moving mulch, dirt and stone around on my property. My wife is certified in loaders, lifts, cranes, etc, and we both agreed never to lift anything over 150lbs over seat level on that thing. One bump with a 500lb load could knock that little tractor over. You can feel how just having the loader installed changes the dynamics on that thing.

I think I would be too afraid to pull an engine with it though.

Anywho, didn't mean to hijack. I'm still voting Kubota Z-series for Brad. I've been very impressed with this brand, and I know some of the guys that designed the Z-series in Georgia.

One down here with 675 hours can be had in the 11K range every now and then.

Can you keep your eyes open for me? I would be more than happy to purchase one like that at that price.

That's amazing. It takes me an hour to mow my 1/3 acre but im pushing a walk-behind LOL.

I need to tell my wife that i could cut my mow time in 1/4th by buying a ride along.

Who cares how much the neighbors would be laughing at me.

I had a John Deere Zero turn at my first house, a Z425 I believe, with a 48" deck and I mowed my little yard in 20 minutes. haha

DO IT!!! Especially as you get older. Or,...just have the kiddos do it. lol
It takes me about 60-70 minutes to cut my front yard. I use the walk behind to do the trim edges and then the sit down tractor for the rest. I actually enjoy mowing the lawn.

I have a bunch of Kubota stuff (skid steers, excavators) at work, not real happy with them honestly.

With my current mower it takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, with a 104" deck, it would be about 35-40 minutes.

With the 104 I did 5.5 acres with trees in 54 minutes.
That same 5.5 takes about 1.5 hours with my 72" depending on how tall I let it get.
Depending on length I cut 13 acres total every week in between 4 and almost 6 hours.
The 104 does NOT leave near as pretty of a cut though. Rear discharge doesn't spread the grass very evenly I found.

Agreed, their small tractors are great, any thing else has some issues. lol

So, let me know if you see one for $11k and you can verify it's in good shape!
