I did not watch the video. If the shooter instigated the fight, he would not be fully protected by the law in Texas.

Within the last few years in MN alone there have been several one punch deaths, exactly how badly beaten should a person be before they fear for their life? People died in the "good ol days", but the 24/7 cable news cycle didn't exist, so you never heard about it.

My point is ifs do not matter. If guy did not tell lady she was parked in handicap spot a man would be alive. If man did not carry gun another man would not have been shot. If man did not shove another he would be alive.

Your experience doesn't change the fact that it's legal to shoot someone in the back. You also don't need to expose yourself to danger to justify using force...for those of you claiming he needed to take a whooping first.

I don't know that I am a proponent of SYG laws so much as I am an opponent of any law that says when I am attacked, suddenly the legal burden is on me to retreat.
