CobraBob likes to hang meat in his house while 03cobra#694 likes to bake a turkey in his.

While living in Wisconsin we set it at 68 in the winter and 72 in the summer.

Now that we've moved to the Vegas area, this winter we have had it off or set to 62. Energy bill is non-existent. I am curious to see what summer has in store for us. I will cool the house even if I have to set it to subzero! LOL We are leasing a house but it does have fans and tinted windows. Anyone else in the desert have any suggestions about how to keep the place cool in the summer?
We're actually very comfortable. We've kept our home at these temps for well over 20 years, so we're acclimated to it. In the summer, the temps are around 74-76 degrees. By the way, colder temps are better for your health.

Humidity affects the feels like temp alot. Aside from keeping my downstairs at 70 I also run a whole house humidifier and keep my house at 40%.

I use a smart outlet and some automation that reads my nest humidity data throughout the house and cycles on and off as needed.

62 at night, and when we aren't home. 68 when I am. Weekends and when I'm off extended periods, I burn a wood stove and keep the house around 72

Mine hasn't been on since October except a few times to cool the house down and 2-3 times the wife wanted to turn the heat on. I think in the next month or so we'll have to set it to 76.

62 in winter and 74 in summer. I have some mining rigs in the basement and the heat is enough for the furnace not to even come on much, even when it is 20 degrees outside. The heat just travels through the floor. We have decent insulation which also helps.

72 winter with Fan running all the time Jan Feb and summer 72 for AC setting. We should finally hit in the 40s daytime so may switch furnace to Auto, Natural Gas is plentiful and well priced. Danny

I have dual units. One for upstairs the other for downstairs. Unfortunately the downstairs unit utilizes the cathedral ceiling vents which then blow directly onto the upstairs thermostat. Why it was designed like that miffs me. Who cares what the temperature is in the hallway? It should have been placed in the master bedroom. Anyway, I have to play the two off each other so upstairs I set at 70 and downstairs at 68. Summer is 74 upstairs and usually 72-73 downstairs.
