Wow! I am actually impressed with dodge. Sounds like they built a really good performer for once.

ACR, Hellcat, 392 Challengers/Chargers/Grand Cherokees are good performers. What about the SRT4 or SRT10 Dodge Ram?

Crazy performance for a production car! I've been out of the demon loop but going 9's is crazy and surprising. I also think 840hp is underrated considering the track times. Is this a bad thing? No...just expecting that it's underrated numbers.

I didn't have the patience to watch the entire video, but I've heard no mention of a manual.

With the transbrake video and everything else so focused on strip times, am I safe to assume this is an auto only car?

I suppose I haven't seen anything suggesting otherwise.

Oh it will get brought up. This place has turned into Camaro5 2012 era when the 12' ZL1 was release with the 13' GT500. Its quite hilarious actually. So funny to watch all the brand loyalist that were on SVTP at the time laugh at the ZL1 crowd only to be eating crow 5 years later. People around here are literally stealing from the Camaro5 playbook on excuses for the GT350.

Est. base price is 85K and dealers are going to be marking them up. I would wager it's going to be a baby boomer killer. They are going to be cashing in their 401K and Roth IRAs for these Demons. Most young guys won't be able to afford one.

This car can not do these times at its weight and hp levels! Something is off here imo

Did you not watch the video or read about the features it has? 315/40/18s, transbrake, 2 step, 3.09 rear and the ability to adjust the front to lift the tires. It will pull 1.8Gs on launch

A modded Hellcat can already run 9.2x. This thing is light years ahead of it in terms of technology and features

exactly right. In fact, it DOES make 1023 hp. It takes about 850whp to take a 4200 lb car and its driver to a 9.65 @ 140.

considering drivetrain losses, its right around 1k hp.

840 is the crank rating. Its only making 80-90 more than a stock Hellcat.

They raised the IHI Twin Screw blower from 2.4L to 2.7L, raised boost from 11 to 14, raised the redline to 6,500 and directed AC to the intake to lower air temps by 45°. Plus the transbrake, 2 step, 3.09 rear and custom 315/40/18s NT05Rs. 0 to 60 in 2.3 seconds!!
