Car is up and running! Turns out my tunes need a little adjusting, Kevin had me bump up the fuel pressure some and I did a datalog on 92 octane. I'll post up for pictures, and I plan on testing out the 2.6 pulley at some point with e85 obviously. Curious to see if that carbonate coating I had put on the pulley grooves help.

Cleaned up engine bay with regulator now in fender!

Thanks! That's exactly what Kevin said lol. Currently I have e70 in the tank with the 2.6 pulley on. Kevin is working on that tune. I used a 74.5" belt and have the pulley almost all the way over. Curious to see how that carbonate material works out that I had put on the grooves of the pulley.

You think 1-2 more psi is really going to be that noticeable at this point? I just dropped my car from 23+ psi to 21.5psi, I don't really notice much except slightly more traction. I did it mainly as a feel good mod so I can say I'm not running such insane levels of boost lol.

Thats pretty far over! Thats close, how tight does the belt feel? Mine does not get quite that close with the 2.6 and a 75" belt. Our idler combos must be slightly different considering they're both factory lowers and I'm using a bigger belt

If you end up having zero belt slip on your test runs, you might back it off a hair to give you "wiggle" room down the road to "snug" the belt after some wear (if necessary)

I've totally lost track what psi he last ran it at or what fuel....plus I thought he's had lots of belt slip issues so I'm not sure he's got it all ironed out until now. I'm betting he has remedied a lot of that with these latest parts, even with the addition of the 2.6.

My "warning" stands......hang on lol

It is, shouldn't stretch it's a used belt. The indicator on the tensioner is on the right side of the hash marks, I've had it there before. Belt doesn't seem overly too tight.

Thanks guys! Did a log up to 5,300 rpms, was suppose to be 5k oops lol. Tons of belt dust, but I figured as such with the carbonate in the pulley grooves. Did see 21 psi!

Here are some pictures of the coating on the pulley.

I'm sure the motor builds RPM's so fast its hard to keep track of the RPM's.

The thing I learned since going to the 4lb pulley is boost shouldn't begin to taper off as RPM's go up. My car with a small upper would begin to lose boost 1-2psi as I got higher up in the RPMs. With the 4lb lower and the larger upper I tend to actually gain about 1 psi as the RPMs go up. If its dropping its probably slipping.

Thanks cj, we shall find out. I've had pretty good luck with the 2.8 holding boost up top.

That's good to hear.

So the video you made running with the 2.8 did you have the new adj tensioner on?

No that's with metco 100mm. I just went a step smaller belt, HD green 74". I may have to order a 73" just to be safe in case this one stretches. 3rd gear pull it held 21 psi up to 6,500 rpms.

Ok, well it held pretty good in the vid right near 19 from what I could see. Should only be better now.

You must be getting close to finalized with Kevin if you're going to 6500.....How did it pull?!

Yeah he's got all the timing in it too. I started the run at 2k and even then it picked up pretty fast. Not sure what adjustments will need to be made for e85 as I'm on e70. Plus I'll need the retune on the 2.8 pulley. The 92 octane tune at 17 psi seems so lazy compared too this lol.

Badass. I'm sure he'll tweak the tune once you get the summer blends in the area. But I'm sure even with the E70 tune its still 95%+ of the performance. Its amazing how much faster it will rip thru the rev band versus the lower boost gas tune lol

It will change your life. I had a custom TVS pulley made to work with my 4lb lower if I'd ever go back to gas. I pray that I never have to use.
