Does the exhaust housing from the GT42 style 7675 fit what you have? I saw they offer a 1.12ar hot side, could possibly be the $3-$350 solution.

( just tossing out an idea)

That GT42 housing for the 7675 is a much different housing than the standard 7675, bigger V band for the downpipe, etc. They aren't really a "drop" in interchangeable design for the 2.

Smh at the fools thinking a 1200 hp turbo is the restriction.

Exactly!!

I've already had to take one of my PTE wg's apart and clean up machine finish issues.
Leaked pretty bad and now has Tial guts in it. The other tested ok. Several others having the same issues with them also

Congrats, do you want a cookie now?

I've got some killer miller lite cases? Does that count? :coolman:

Oh a stick car. Let's see how well you can drive that turd then. 12.0s maybe?

I don't care if you have PTP tuning your car, it will still get drug.

And last time, I don't even have a Precision turbo, but depending on the class, they make nice Turbos. Who cares where you get the Turbo from, if it makes the most power for what you are trying to do.

Sounds like a killer build, man I wish I had a BAP. :rollseyes

If I had your $$ I'd throw mine away ;)

By all means please share the testing you have performed to say it is not the turbo, because my local shop who spent about 5 days with the car going over everything thinks otherwise?

Who's got the time, equipment, and know how to accurately measure (or calculate) velocity in the hot side? From valves to turbo.
my guess is velocity is higher at the merge than the turbine.

Going from 2.5 to 3 inch at the merge netted 25 rwhp gain on 5.8 psi with NO tuning changes, putting it on the dyno Wednesday to see what she does on 10-11 psi and tuning changes. . .

is that enough testing for you?

At 5.8 not even close to enough testing!!! Where did you pick up the 25hp and did it extend the diesel 3/4 ton power curve this kit provides?

That was peak power number, around 6500 rpm, I have to have the kit retuned do to maf range being tapped, i have a JMS range extender that is already installed waiting to be plugged in when he's tuning. . . then I can turn it up.

very curious to see the graph. Mine never fell off at low boost, and didn't really fall off at higher boost.

I don't think testing will be conclusive until you run 15+ lbs.

2.5 to 3inch at the merge netted 80 rwhp gain, no other changes besides tuning compensation.

What kit again? What size are the pipes pre merge? Still using stock headers? What size down pipe?

As I've said before many times! Velocity and efficiency!! If this 80whp gain is true due to increasing merge dia then obviously velocity was an issue in this area. This area will only become a bigger problem with more power/boost

custom kit, rear facing stock manifolds v banded, 2.5 inch from each manifold merging to 3 inch now, then going up to turbo in the front. 3 inch downpipe y'd into a factory catback, even has factory resonators, and MBRP mufflers.
