Anyone thinking about trading their 11-14 in on a 15?

While I think the new 15 looks good and the interior is great, the lack of a solid axle is what will keep me away.

I like the new car and feel like it is improved in a lot of ways. I just wouldn't buy one in it's current form. For me the color choices leave something to be desired and I am also disappointed that it is no more powerful or quicker than the outgoing model. If do, however, feel like that will change in the next year or two. I am concerned though that the cost of modding it may go up considerably. I think I read somewhere that the drivers side header and midpipe are welded together which will make exhaust mods, other than a catback, a lot more complicated.

^I just want to make sure no one thinks I'm dissing the S550, just wanted to state the facts.

The appearance of the new Stang is growing on me, best of luck to all the new owners!

My local dealership had a race red premium GT. The thing looked amazing in person. The interior is awesome too. I just dont think it would be worth the larger payment!

Jumping to a base version S550 GT from my low mileage '13 Premium GT to keep payments similar doesn't make sense.

But then again, who said buying a new car ever made any sense to begin with ...

$1800 financed over 60 months like 99% of consumers equalling $30. Check
I'm pretty nuetral on this car but the price increase complaint is getting exhausting. $1800 for all the upgrades is a steal.

The question wasn't how much it would cost to finance the $1,800 across the board increase, it was that improvements are not free and come at a cost.

That said, I'm also neutral on this car. But seeing how I haggled relentlessly over the price of my last few new cars, I firmly place the price increase in the negative column.

Had the chance to test drive one a week ago while at the dealership getting service done on my 14 GT. While the look in person is much better than photo's and the interior much more refined I was less than impressed when I took it for a test drive. Perhaps if your into the twisties it's worth it but I'll stick with my 14...

Based on my test drive of a 2015 GT performance pack, the new car really is better in pretty much every way...except the power (negligible) and the looks (objective). They look great in person and going from my 2014 base GT into one of the new ones, it was a massive difference in terms of trim, quality, comfort, ergonomics, etc.

That being said, I really like the body style of my car and I still want to modify it a lot to my own tastes, both in subtle appearance changes and in performance, and I think the 2011-2014 Stangs will be heavily sought after some years down the road. I wouldn't trade mine in because of that, and because I'd come out upside down financially for sure.

I'll definitely be looking at them in the coming years, especially as the different versions become more available. I think anyone who trades up will be pretty happy in terms of the overall package.

I finally got to test drive one as well, I'll make this short. It's the Honda Accord of Mustangs with 435 HP, feels even more refined than the 13 that I have which is kind of numbing in away, not a bad way just alot different. Very comfortable, ergonomic, and quiet. The bodystyle still alot of work for me to like it. I still cannot stand the front of it. The 3/4 view is solid.

I'm still on the fence about the looks and I have not gotten to drive one yet so at this point, I would not trade in my 14GT for the new one. I have gotten to look one over closely as well as sit inside and there are things interior wise that I like but not enough to do a trade. It also doesn't make sense financially since I've only had my car for a little over 14 months.

I do like the car more every day so in a few years I may take the plunge. It just depends on how well my current car holds up and how much more BS I have to deal with on warranty work. I may bail on Ford altogether.

Great looking car from the side and from behind . Not so much up front . It's like a girl with a banging body and beautiful hair but a wired looking face .... Lol

Honestly hated the 2015 at first- thought it looked like a Jaguar with mustang badging. But it has grown on me.

The only thing cosmetically that turns me off is the wrap around front headlights. I much prefer how the 2005-14 headlights with the face forward only look.

I would keep the interior from my 14 with the exception of the entertainment console. Love the push to start and toggle switches make it look like a freaking F-14.

If I hadn't just bought my 14 I might think about it. That said I would probably wait a few years to 1) let Ford work out the kinks of the new model, 2) see what new powerplants or special edition trims come out, and 3) get in on better pricing late in the production run of some future year
