Malaysian Air is a state-owned company, it's the ONLY commercial way to fly in and out of Malaysia. They have a monopoly on all air travel, so they aren't going out of business any time soon.

I guess because Boeing didn't build the aircraft well enough to survive high end military rockets. Those engineers need to step their game up.

It has been a known fact that an aircraft company takes a hit on their reputation, when multiple mishaps happen in a relative short time (under a year). cases in point

727, DC-10, and 757 back in the mid 70's for the 727, the mid to late 80's with the DC-10, and 757.

Here is a transcript intercepted from the Rebels talking about the plane being shot down by their missile. Also the fact that there is further information of the Prime Minister of said Pro-Russian Rebel group confirming that he shot down the plane thinking it was military, but took off the post after he found out it was a civilian plane.
