although being embarrassed but proud to say at the same time we STILL are selling these faster than i can make them i really should not be pushing you but i swear i feel so confident in this design with the latest tweaks i have done ( i have had a 12 boss and now a 13 laguna seca) even though you might think the stocker is fine. this thing truly will transform your car on the roadcourse to a different level.

i have tracked 2 porsche gt3's and i am telling you it is on par!!

george

George,
What's the best place to buy them? I'm assuming most of the vendors won't stock them since your post says you can't make them fast enough....
Let me know...I'm interested in picking one up.
Thanks,
Bill

Yep. Got to put your name on the waiting list. My most recent purchase only took about 3 weeks which was way better than my first, about 2 months of wait time. It was definitely worth the wait, though.

Any reason you went with Barton over MGW? I'm considering the upgrade, so I'm curious of the differences between the 2....
OP....good post!

I put the Barton and 2 post in mine and it was strictly because of availability. I had just gotten the car back after warranty work on the trans and I wanted to get rid of the stock POS right then and there. It's a bit mechanical and notchy feeling right at the beginning but loosens up nicely after ~500 miles or so

This is a mod we need to do as well, and with the overwhelming votes for MGW, seems to be the way to go...

I chose them for the bracket and availability. The bracket makes a big defference!

Although I havent used the MGW in htis set up, I would think they would be very similar, and would be the only 2 I would recommend

I had a Barton with the 1st model of bracket that they came out with in my 2011 GT. I now have a 2013 Boss and was wondering if it would be worth selling the Barton and getting a MGW. The only complaint I had about the Barton was a vibration at around 2500 rpm that came up through the shifter. I liked the throw on the Barton. but is the MGW only a 20% reduction in throw?

Was going with MGW, told it was 3 weeks. Called Barton, got it in 2 days. I don't have an opinion on the MGW as I've never owned one. Got the barton and 2 post.......The only time it misses is when I can't get my foot off the clutch fast enough.

Hands down the first mod for a MT 82 equipped car, Barton or MGW from my readings on this thread

I emailed MGW last week and was told the backlog is about 3 weeks.

I emailed them and got the same reply...3 weeks.
Might go with the Barton now as well...unless the MGW is really THAT much better than the Barton....but the Barton with the bracket looks really well made as well...

the Barton is a very well made piece and we definitely lose sales to them when we are still on such backorder. but that speaks volumes for our shifter. i have 22 cnc machines in my shop and we make alot of these but they STILL sell faster than we can make them. i hope to have all the shifters caught up and in stock by Christmas.

it is worth the wait i promise!!!

we also have a new feature product for our shifter debuting in about 2 weeks that makes our shifter offering go even farther ahead of the pack!!

George,

Thanks for taking the time to talk to me today about your shifter, and the new options coming out for your products.

Glad my name is on the list and I look forward to getting my MGW shifter installed.

Steve
