Good news for the s197 guys .... tiger racing has bolt-on hoods now. Tiger racing has contracted with ford racing to supply ford racing with a bolt-on hoods. Paul had to step-up with a bolt-on hood. Fiberglass is 749 or 799 and carbon fibre is 1249 or 1299.
I talked to paul brown about the new 5.0 getting too hot on track in the sunmmer heat. He said the 5.0's that he uses are crate engines, with fluidine radiators and oil coolers and of course his hood design. In oklahoma in 90* weather and 95% humidity they were running 230* water temps and if i remember correctly 270* oil temps. That is spinning the motors up to 8100rpms.
