i picked it up and got it put on, something caught my eye though, Let me ask you all a questions. I have a slot style maf and was wondering since my BOV is after teh mass air is that a problem. Do you want it before or after the mass air meter?

Well one would think that you would want it before. Having it after would cause an extreme rich condition when you let off the throttle since your MAF is picking up more air than is actually entering the engine. Thats what my thinking suggests, but I'm still kinda new to this, which is why i tend to have a lot of questions.

i took the cold side back off and im moving the bov to the coldside pipe coming out of the turbo. They said to get it as far away from the mass air as possible. But i should have it back by the endof the week along wiht my coolant tank and catchcan and hoses. Im ready to start this bi***

Looks like you got it corrected but I will answer. You want it after the intercooler but before the MAF. Not sure if I would want it before the intercooler because I would think the discharged air would be moving backwards out of the intercooler and might cause turbulence. I could be wrong in my thinking but that’s how the shop is building my kit and our front mounts are designed the same way. (IN on the driver’s side and OUT the passenger’s side.)

from what i heard is you want it as close to the turbo as you can cause it releifs pressure from the turbo which makes it not surge. Ill try it out

lol sorry guys, been real busy getting christmas gifts...i hate this time of year BTW.lol
Anyhow on the car i got rid of the coolant overflow tank and bought a moroso small tank to take its place, im almost done making the brackets to hold it and i and in the process of moving the battery to the trunk to have space to put a catchcan. I also put a powersteering tank from moroso to take place of the stock factory plastic one. I set up a dyno date for the second week of jan and ill have pictures posted after i get the engine bay done

Glad to hear that you were just busy! I had my finger crossed that nothing had happened.

I just picked up the same power steering res and it looks very good.

The shop might get my numbers on the t-56 soon and then we are going to drop the th400. Sounds like we are on the same time line.

yeah the power steering res looks good , i was pleased with it. The overflow tank is just a tad bigger but is the only route i can go. The stock replacement style coolant tank wouldnt fit due to my upper intake pipe, so i went this route. Im telling ya this, i dont know about being turbo'd with a th400 but when i switched it when i had the blower i loved it. im sure with a turbo car its even going to be better. Good luck and hopefully nothing happens. You have mid lengths headers or manifolds? Asking because if you go wtih the JW Ultra bell its a pain in the azz to bolt it up. Just for the heads up.

The shop made a custom set of forward facing tubular headers that fit inside the MM k-member. They are slick and dont cause any type of interference.

Oh man is that sexy! Hey I see we both have good taste in power steering tanks. I ended up putting my moroso catch can in the fender in about the same location too. It was a tight sqeeze but I got it after bending the horns out of the way.

Cant wait to see some numbers!

BTW I still like the looks of the sullivan intake. It just looks so much cleaner than my 01 Cobra intake.
