The pistons are very good, and should handle 99% of what most people will ever throw at them. That is as long as you don't have some jacked up tune and blow a hole through the top of them. :)

The crank is good to 1400hp/8000rpm, the block is good past 1400HP. The pistons as Jeff stated, are very good. Are they aftermarket CP quality, no, but they will be able to handle whatever most will throw at them. At the same time, I'd rather hone to nice round .020" over (factory bores are rarely perfectly round) and use CPs if building a 1000HP terror.
