Drive it like you really want that 12.99 bad enough and you can get there:D Drive that car like I told you to and you should get there, it will take practice, with no torgue and 3.27 gears....whew you have to really, really work that clutch. Hey it can be done though, I went 12.81 with the 3.27's gears and full weight, no reduction or skinnies, I did have my Mickey's on though:-D

Figured I'd jump in on this too. Mods follow...

o/r x pipe
magnaflow c/b
4.30 with steedas "stop the hop" kit
jlt carbon fiber intake
NX 100 shot, possibly 150 once I get my wideband in.
sct tuner
nazman ported intake (soon)

Any suggestions?

ported stock heads getting done right now
mac longtubes with a lethal performance catted x-pipe
4.30's
aluminum flywheel
centerforce dual friction clutch
JLT CAI
ported intake manifold
php intake spacer
electric water pump
a good tune
03 bilsteins
short shifter
rear seat delete
a pair of racing seats
an extra pair of 17x10.5's with drag radials

I have no idea of how much power to expect but I'm hoping for low 12's or high 11's at best.

Hmm, well when I finally get the car down to San Antonio the plan is:

- Nazty ported intake
- 4.30 gears
- 03 Cobra clutch
- 100 shot N2O
- Triple gauge pillar pod & gauges ( oil press., water temp., N2O press. )

. . . and next year . . . E85 CONVERSION!!! ;-)

what do you gatta do for the conversion?

If you're serious about it, start by reading this thread:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=381030

I did much of leg work there and anything that isn't covered specifically you should have a good idea where to go after that w/ the links that are provided to real world examples.

The two big obstacles are having a fuel delivery system w/ sufficient flow capacity ( roughly 20% - 30% more is needed than gasoline ) and getting the tunning right. Unlike what some the nay sayers will tell you, it does NOT require an overhaul of your fuel system using exotic materials, it will NOT cause your fuel lines to melt from the inside out and it will NOT cause your engine to blow up the moment you leave the E85 pump!

Thank you, i saved your PM. I wish I had the car so I could be working towards this goal. The cobras been at a shop since early september. Nobody can figure out what is wrong with my transmission. While the car has been sitting I mounted new 245/45/17s Nitto 555Rs on the back and 555s in the front. I need to pull off some kind of 1.8X 60' time to have a chance at cracking into the 12s. Will I need a more aggressive drag radial to do this?

I'm thinking a 275/40/17 Mickey, but the Nitto's might do the job for you and if they can that will be great.

Ok here.....what should I do next.

Im staying N/A so blower, turbo, or supercharger is not an option.

My mods are in my sig.
I am going to install a Kmember, CC plates, and maybe some struts.

What should I do next to my car?

So your staying n/a?

Ever thought about so heads and cams?

Also, put so corbeau seats in there and loose another 70lbs.

You have some track wheels also?Welds or Bogarts?

your porting your heads so while they are out I would maybe think about getting some cams.

Or ditch the ported heads, intake, intake spacer, electric water pump, seat delete, the 17x10.5 wheels and Dr's and get a BLOWER.

Oh and NO MAC LONGTUBES. Get something else...BBK

I wouldnt do mac.

Nitrous sounds great. I would only go NX tho, wet kit.

Or you can ditch the nitrous, headers, and the 4lb lower and save for a whipple/KB

Any suggestions on a set-up for a twin 57mm turbo kit? thanks.

Yea, build the motor first.

Then get the aeromotive A1000 fuel system "kit" then go to town.

Im about to get one here soon maybe... Just going to buy the hot side and shit, and Fastlane Motorsports is going to fab up the rest!

Better pray for more gas stations the get E85. Good luck not driving your car anywhere b/c your scared you will run out and not have nowhere to get no gas...

XCal2 w/ E85 & 93/91 octane tunes = problem EASILY solved!!!

. . . we've been over this dude . . . :bored:
