What does a new Volt cost?

The laws of economics are pretty simple. If electric was that good then they wouldn't be selling at half MSRP. Subsidized by tax payers. Tesla wouldn't have to sell cars at cost just to sell the EV credits to make a profit. Fisker wouldn't be falling apart. The tech/incentive isn't their and the more the gov tries to force it the less it works.

How many design ideas, cars, and car companies went the way of the dodo before the Model T? Nobody is gonna nail an electric car the first try, especially when you have to factor in all the new car "needs" and regulations. In 100 years, people will remember the Fisker Karma about as well as they remember the Duryea Motor Wagon.
