Saw this car at Milan for a stick shift race not too long ago. He won it. It was rolling out. Talked to him for a few and it makes silly power and runs really well. Made me really think about running one on my car.

That would be by far the highest TQ number I have seen posted with the 2.65. Most have been in the 660-670 range. Thats been the biggest complaint I've read from 2.3 TVS owners who have swapped to the 2.65.

Can you post that 800/720 graph?

....That's in part why I won't swap my 2.3L for the new 2.65L

Sorry 793/717 stock compression and displacement 95 degrees and humid two weeks ago here in the south east. Wait until I change my cai so I don’t have a reducer and go smaller on the upper pulley.

That graph yes is a before and after with nothing changed except the blower. Same pulley same everything. So I’m not sure where the 660ish torque numbers are from but my buddy same car as I have just made 750 torque same blower. They’re proving to be quite impressive and for the price point and the removable inlet I’m very pleased with the gen 3

Nice! Totally different TQ and HP curve versus the 2.65s I've seen dyno that are running stock cams. I think you found the magic cam specs to make the curves look more like the traditional terminator "area under the curve" we're use to seeing (for pd/TS/roots blowers of course).

It’s a toss up. They’re just stage 3 comps. May actually hinder that low end torque. Either way it’s plenty for a street car. When I get bored with this I’m just gonna put a smaller pulley on it ‍♂️

I just like to share my findings to help people out when they’re trying to make a decision. I had a hard time myself trying to find data on the gen 3 for cobras but took the gamble and I’m glad I did.

Did you get SAE numbers along with the STD numbers @Andrew03SVT?

It's probably in the ball park of 770/700 SAE

I think at the end of the day....the 2.9 gen4 is going to produce the highest dyno number and more importantly....the highest trap speeds at the track. 150+ traps. If the removable inlet is a top priority that one just can't live without....you just have to be willing to be slower at the strip.

Either way, almost 800 wheel and 700 wheel torque makes for a good time.
