Okay guys I bought my cobra a while back an it
Has 3 tunes to choose from
S T 11.8 Afr
20 T 11.8 Afr
23 T 11.8 Afr

Car was tuned by RWTD. Do these T's stand for Timing??
I think they do an was wondering if they do could I run the
20° timing on pump fuel? 93 octane of course.

Here are the mods
.293 upper
K&N FIPK2
Steeda Catback
Steeda Ofr X

Stock.long block 1050 miles...

The old engine was tuned with these an popped cylinder
2. Fuel detonated an scarred tge cyl wall and also melted a hole in the piston. It
was on the 23T 11.8afr tune when I bought it.t I assume Id need at least 110 octane for that assuming T stands for timing.
Just like to get your thoughts on this...

I have ran 23*s on pump gas...as have many others but make darn sure you A/F is 11.5 or so...or run some additive. My pumps are pegged and last time out on 23*s I could hear it pinging...so not going to drive it again till I switch to E85.
21* would be pretty safe on 93.

a .293 upper ... i bet you have some major belt slip :poke:

just messing... an 11.8 a/f is nice .. ive read many times that 20* T with the eaton isnt too much ... that you can go a few degrees higher with the eaton than a TS with 93 octane.. dont ask me how come tho:shrug:

No.slip what so ever got 3 piec bf idlers 2 100mm an one 98mm
Figured out why I was so lean. Pulled plugs an found stock
Motorcraft platnums.... :( changed to tr6 gapped at .035 made a pull
Went 11.8afr on 20 degrees of.timing. My tunes are unlocked so I pulled
2 degrees of.timing out 4000 to 8000 to make it a little safer
Ran 11.6 on.18° so thats where shes staying.

You can easily go 23*'s with 93 octane even with a 2.9/6lb combo like I run. If I drove my car on the street a lot I would run 23*'s and not have one worry about it.

2.93 upper, intake, exhaust and I have a tune from Ed Bryan (used to work with RWTD) and I have 23 deg timing on 93 octane with no detonation issues.

I currently am running a lower degree timing tune though, I feel safer at 20deg timing or 21.
