Nice job Ford. I personally don't care for the dual exhaust look on this or the Limited. The American flag is a nice touch. Is that a removeable panel in the front skid plate to help with oil changes? That's helpful.
2020 non Tremor Lariat 150 nicely option runs $66/67k. What will that same truck as a 2021 Tremor option run? 2020 250 Tremor 7.3 Lariat ultimate nicely option runs $66k. Will the 150 Tremor be more expensive than the 250 7.3 Tremor?
This truck actually raised my interest until the release appears to require the 3.5EB. This truck, more than any other (currently released) trim level, needs a V8 option. I know how awesome the EB is, but at the end of the day I’m choosing a 5.0 with a 3.0 Whipple. (I have not yet had the privilege to sample the PowerBoost...So I cannot rule that one out yet) The Raptor’s rear coil spring suspension and factory supercharged 5.2 leaves a nice gap for an upgraded 5.0 Tremor to slot below it. The orange accent reminds me of the Appearance package on the Mach 1. This truck would be a nice “poor man’s Raptor” the way a Mach 1 is a step up from the Mustang GT but still not a technological powerhouse like the Shelby GT500.
That 7.3 is a huge value! I’ve never considered a Super Duty without a PowerStroke, but the cost savings of the 7.3 makes it worth a test drive at least.
As good as one is stock, they are even better with a tune. Add boost to the mix and you'll forget about diesel.
a this is my question too. It's gotta stay under the raptor a decent amount, unless its gonna get some kind of big jump
I understand that. Its hard to imagine how a brand new truck with the 21 model plus the tremor trim is not going to significantly raise the price. On top of the already high msrp on the old f150.
This post really opened my eyes! I hate to keep harping on it, but I built and priced a Lariat super crew 4x4 5.0 f150 and a similar F250 7.3... and the Super Duty was cheaper!!! WTH? Okay the new F150 has a bigger touch screen... but holy crap the Super Duty is WAY more truck for less money. 7.3L, 6-3/4’ bed, more payload and towing. The F150 may have just lost a customer... Super Duty FTW...
No I just did MSRP to MSRP. I doubt the 2021 has that big of a discount. It might be a better deal to get a leftover 2020 F150 at this exact moment because of the model change, but I was taking an average (and admittedly simplified) look at prices average prices. Besides from what I’ve seen in the past the big discounts are usually limited to 2.7L XLT, blah blah blah package that’s been on the lot over 60 days (and tons of other fine print) Ford needs to clear off the lot and not the version I’m looking for.
