Running grooved slicks designed for wet tracks in the dry will destroy them quickly. Watch any racing series where they use these tires and you'll see footage of the driver's purposely running in the wet sections on the straights if a dry line opens up. That's to try and manage tire temps as the compound is so soft it'll melt into greasy goo on an all dry track.
Raced my cobra in the rain at road America a few times, super fun! Only had nt05's though not a dedicated rain tire setup, that'd make it even more fun!
