looks great, I love the SN95 body style. Definitely my next project after my 86. I would love to see how the undercarriage comes out after you clean it up. I live in Jersey so that is a familiar site. Have you taken the rugs out to see if there is any rust on the floorpan yet?

so whats the plan for it? using any parts from the 97?

Also, not to self: call nathan and chrissy every 10min from 7pm on.
I stole the main brake line that runs from the right front to the rear axle off of the 97 this morning. Other than that I don't think I have many other parts to steal from it. What sucks is I'll have to swap the tinted windows and black interior that I JUST put on her v6. :bash:

Save it...Save it...Save it!
No worries, it's being saved.

Subscribing. This looks like a good deal and I am looking forward to seeing the work you put into it!
So far it's a good deal, just a lot of work to get it back into good condition.

Holy surface rust. Can't wait to see some pics of it done up. Keep us updated!
Yeah, lots of surface rust but thankfully no really major rust spots.

Great deal for 1K. Good luck with it!
Thanks!

Sweet! Welcome to the club. These are truly the "Bastard" of all Mustangs. I love mine. It has 172K on it and still runs and looks great. Let me know if I can help any. She will want a 1998 console like I installed. Nice cupholders that way.

Also did front and rear Cobra brakes myself along with springs and 5-way Illuminas. Very easy job. Most people skimp out on the rears.
Side picture is before Cobra rears obviously. They fill the wheels much better.
Congrats! I'm stoked to see it finished. :pepper:

Nice restoration man. Yeah she already has an 03 cupholder in her v6 so I can steal that later.

No rust under the floorpans thankfully.

I'm pretty sure thats the 1998s and the 2010s.

I'm pretty sure you are wrong. :dw:

Go to any performance parts catalog anywhere in your state, the country, the world, online whatever and count the parts for the 1994 and then count the ones for the 1998. And the 2010? That is the most supported car platform in the history of car platforms? Bastard? Hardly. :nonono:

Obviously you have never owned a 1994-95.

There are a lot of parts that are 98 specific. And the 2010 was the only year of that bodystyle that had the 4.6. 11s and 12s were 5.0s.

I'm lost. The engine in the 2010 was made from 2005-2010 (6 model years) and the body parts are almost 100% the same from 2010-2014 (5 model years).
How does the fact they were only together for 1 years make parts hard to get? Have you ever opened any sort of catalog or car magazine?
:dw:

I can't believe I am trying to convince someone that parts for a 2010 Mustang are everywhere. Anything you can dream up. It's like arguing with a wall so I give up. :rolling:

Anyway, OP be sure to keep us up to date your progress.

Got a lot done yesterday at the shop due to not a lot of customer traffic. The front and rear brakes are done, calipers painted, and I have finished making the brake lines that go over the axle from scratch. Today I'll install my new brake line that runs from the right front wheel to the rear of the car, rework it to make it fit this 95, flush the brakes, and then hopefully go for a nice long test drive.

Stop your bitching guys. I've owned a 94GT and a 98 Cobra. Yes, lots of stuff is 94/95 specific but a ton of stuff can be swapped from Foxes and made to work. Yes, stuff can also be 98 specific but it's small BS like the fittings you need to go into the ABS unit when doing a line lock.

Try owning a car without any real aftermarket support.

Every Mustang up in the NE that isn't a garage queen looks like that after 10+ years of being outside. Luckily these cars are pretty stout in the metalwork compared to older Mustangs and it almost always cleans up with a good grinder with a flap disk or stiff wire wheel and new seam sealer and paint

quoted for the truth.

It runs and drives! In bleeding the brakes we had one small leak at the rear banjo bolt for the middle soft line but other than that everything went fairly smooth. I must say though, if I had the option to just BUY new OES brakes I would have done that instead of making the lines from scratch. Overall I'm very happy with how this car is turning out thus far.

Took it for a short drive yesterday and it did beautifully. Still have some small stuff to do but overall I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for this restoration.

Great find! You're doing a fantastic job so far getting it cleaned up. I plan on doing something very similar in the future for mine.
Thanks. No need to restore yours, it looks BEAUTIFUL in your pics.

Looks really good. Going to lower it? :D
Of course! Trying to track down a set of lowering springs and an o/r mid-pipe. It seems like there aren't a lot of deals to be had on those items right now.

I got bogged down last weekend with house stuff so I've been playing catchup at nights. Thus far I've gotten the interior cleaned out, windshield replaced, installed Motorcraft spark plugs (the Autolites in there were worn OUT), and polished the tailpipes. Honestly I only have a few more things on the "Need to Finish" list so I should be pretty much done by Labor Day.

Well I'm pretty much done with cleaning up the exterior of the car. I still have a few small things to do to the car but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out.

Rear end after redoing the rear brake lines:
*Note: Rear end and floors still need to be sanded and cleaned up.
