Not to promote the channel but rather to point out the painful exercise it can be when trying to buy something like this. Insulting to say the least.
This is hilarious and pathetic.

I spoke to you yesterday about ordering a GT 500 and I got with my GM and they're only making a certain amount, I'm sure you know, so to get an allocation to get one he inquired about it and you have to do 20 over sticker.
I don't see the concerns here... Seems like free market at work, Ford can only build them so fast, and there is clearly demand for the cars as evidenced by the hundreds of pages of our comments for the past few years waiting for the littlest bit of news... So now the first GT500 auctioned for in excess of 1M, that's a stiff ADM, and what about the next ten, if you want one of these be prepared to step up to the plate because all the dealers have their best friends and customers in line with a checkbook in hand... So it makes no sense for anyone to expect the first few hundreds of cars will not be immediately sold and that dealers are doing nothing wrong by letting buyers bid them up. So if you want one even during the first year, the only option is to go to your dealer and bid for it. And if you were lucky enough to buy one of the first few, then decide to sell the next day, you would certainly get ADM too. So, ADM is just the market pricing adjustment given the supply and demand. Nothing to hate except the 1%ers that can stroke the check forcing you to wait til supply increases enough to move the price low enough for you. MSRP = Manufacturers SUGGESTED retail price.
Considering how 'slow' the 350R was in a straight line id say specs dont mean squat when it comes to the halo Fords. The rich old timers love them no matter what and will always pay up. The Z1le is an absolute shit kicker and I dont think even the first batch sold at an ADMAgreed. But have you seen the new BMW Supra, I'm not feeling it...
I also wonder how long the stiff ADM's will be in place since supercharged 700HP recipe is getting generic these days too, HC, Z06, ZL1, and now GT500. The DCT is novel, but the ZL1 10spd is pretty nice and decently comparable plus the slowing auto market. I'd wager it won't last as long as ADM on GT350, maybe a year give or take. If your boycotting it won't be for toooo long.
Its not the actual price of the car as adm varies... Plenty of people get cars at msrp, even the shelbysArguing over ADM is retarded. ADM is the actual price of the car in America, because your dealing with a private dealership/entity. What you pay, is 100% between you, and the place that is selling what you want.
Home Depot/lowes/Walmart/Amazon all stock the same shit. where you get it from, at what price, is on you. Some stores will have them in stock, others wont, ie availability
what cars appeal to me>what cars can i afford>what cars do i need>what cars have the specs i want
nowhere in there is an MSRP, thats between ford and the dealer.
msrp 70k +20k ADM =90k
or
MSRP 90k + 0 ADM

Um, MSRP= Manufacturers Suggested RETAIL (means us the consumer) Price...
It's what the Manufacturer (Ford) suggests that dealers sell Ford's product at for a fair deal and profit for both the consumer and buyer.
Anything above that is pure greed.
I personally agree that anything above MSRP is solely to line a dealers pockets with consumers cash. But I think the main point that potential buyers forget, is that if they don't like or support paying an ADM that the "greedy" dealers are asking, then move on to another dealer or don't buy a new Ford.
Some people "have" to have the car now and be one of the first buyers of new technology. When that happens to a limited production car, dealers will take advantage of these folks by jacking the price up. Right or wrong, ethical or unethical, it's ultimately up to the consumer to control..Stop paying ADM's and dealers sooner or later will be forced to come down to earth. Keep paying ADM's and it supports the dealers philosophy of charging premium to people who "must have it now" mentality.
