This is more just for fun killing time waiting for this car to hit the lots... but I've been thinking. With the power of social media and the internet, one can accomplish quite alot.

So, lets get a list of guys in this thread that have the means to buy this car at lets just say 70k-83k MSRP who REFUSE TO PAY ADM and will stand by their word.

Now, there's always those ppl that will pay 5k, 10k, 20k and we have to let them throw the $$ around... BUT, if we can seriously get 50, 100 names on here to commit to this idea and let these cars sit on lots for 3 months it could have an impact on the ADM game.

Theres gotta be a way to beat this game.

RULES:
- Add screen name and state you reside.
- You are the one buying the car. not your mom or wealthy uncle. Get them to create a account and sign in!
- You will take every reasonable effort to NOT PAY an ADM after seeing it on the floor :)

That's all!

Next steps.... get more visibility. spread the word. Mustang sites, search engine results (who knows how to get this thread to top of google results when someone types "2020 GT500", "2020 GT500 for sale"), Facebook, twitter, etc...

Valiant idea.

Won’t matter unfortunately.

Ford will sell every single gt500 they build and people will be standing in line waiting for them for at least 2 years.... meaning get used to the idea of ADM’s during that time.

Actually the problem is that Ford along with other OEM’s could and would sell a hell of a lot more units if ADM’s and dealers didn’t control the market with ridiculous mark ups. Simple supply and demand. The demand is high, however the ADM’s will kill the demand based on erroneous product inflation and greed. This will kill production because the manufacturer produces based on dealer order demand which is drastically reduced when initial customer demand is destroyed through ridiculous price gouging. Simple as that. The manufacturer will build based on dealer order that’s it and has the ability to build enough to supply normal demand at MSRP. Look at the ZR1, dead because of the same nonsense. Viper, completely destroyed and discontinued because of this nonsense. GT350R limited and very little sales because of the same. Dealers control production of these units and destroy them with ADM’s. Too Occupied with the Home Run, club the baby seal over the head mentality vs. sell more at MSRP and make customers happy and loyal. Most importantly ensure the car lives not dies.

Only reasonable answer in this thread.

These guys sound like when people thought it was a good idea to boycott gas stations. That worked out so well.

Anyone ever hear of a free market?

I see alot of crying about ADM's. Would you all prefer a socialist market? Everyone gets a GT500 because they all want one and they shouldn't have to pay a dollar over the sticker price ford made.

If you dont like the mark up dont buy it. Plain and simple.

What's crazy is this car is going to cost close to 100K when you add up all the carbon goodies from Ford. An ADM on top of that is going to hurt badly. This car will not outperform a ZR1 or Viper.

People will still buy it. In that price range people are buying what they want because they want it. Not because dollar for dollar it’s a better performer.

When you have stupid amounts of money you don’t care about ADMs. A good comparison is how movies used to be sold. When a new one came out on video tape they would be a hundred bucks or more for a copy. And people wanted the movie so bad they would pay it. Once demand died down prices would drop to a much more reasonable 20 or 30 bucks.

ADMs are the same way dealers take advantage of people wh want to be first to own one and people who are afraid they won’t get one those kind of people will pay and not care. Then the poor people get their shot at msrp lol.

Got it backwards.

Ford needs to increase production to flood the market to drive out ADM.

First off, OP I hope you realize this is pointless.

Secondly...

Where the **** have you been?

he has been up in canucksville practicing his trolling

On what plant do you get 100K before any ADM? Seriously Kaneda, you think the GT500 is a ~40K bump over a GT350?
remember he is talking about kaneda dollars which are worth about 10 cents U.S.

I don't think boycotting Ford will accomplish a thing. Bottom line, you don't like ADM's then either find a dealer who doesn't tack them on, or don't buy a Ford. For the record, I'm not a fan of them either, but I know that complaining or boycotting won't accomplish a thing.
The world will still be turning and Ford dealers will keep selling cars regardless.

Small minds think......Well not really.
ADMs are a product of consumers wanting something in limited supply. They want it because its special and are willing to pay a premium.
Dont like ADM?? Do you like a Corolla?

Let’s eliminate ADMs by having to apply to Ford for the ability to buy one.

Cuts out ADM and ensures collectibility!

That’d be awesome.....
