There are a lot of enthusiast that hate the concept, they will also hate the production car... There's nothing Ford can do to make the minority happy unless they don't change a thing. That probably won't happen...

It will be a shame to lose enthusiast but it happens every styling change. Everyone who has a 2005-2014 Mustang will be obsolete, unimportant and will likely trade for a newer one. I have my down payment ready...

+1 there will always be haters and you cannot please everyone just like the hate of the SN95s when they came out, the hate for the S197 and SN10 cars. Hell I bet there was hate in '78 when the Fox cars replaced the IIs.

Yep the old school true mustang guys absolutely hated the FOX mustangs. They didn't look like mustangs, but they did look like euro trash escorts. When 2005 rolled around many of the old school 1965-1970 fastback fans were happy as could be. Most of them liked the SN95's when they came out as well.

I hope the new mustang is really cool, and better than the 2005-2014. Plus I don't think we actually lose enthusiast when a new bodystyle is made. The people just stick to what they like. I skip the 1974-1993 mustangs because I just don't really like them at all. Of course there are people who can't think outside of the box/fox mustang, and hate all the good looking none cardboard box shaped mustangs made.

I personally like the odd generations of mustang. The first gen, the later third gen, and the fifth gen. I'm hoping that ford doesn't go too crazy just because it's an even numbered generation.

that is FUGLY. What happened to the rest of the trunk? Looks too square, too much door, (ground to where the window starts) looks too high like the Camaro's, does not look like a sports car at all. Maybe ok for a Festiva but not a Mustang. If it looks anything like that, i'll be jumping ship for good.

Not really thrilled with the carscoop renderings. Hopefully it won't look like that.
